I have lost most of my stars in Alamy and want to gain them back. My last several submissions have passed, but I am curious if anyone knows which counts more, batches or individual pictures. Do we get a bigger ding on our rankings because of all the pictures rejected in a batch? Does the algorithm say , "Oh, we just rejected one batch, so that's a point off of Susan," or does it say, "We just rejected 20 images, so that's 20 points off Susan?" I saw a recommendation somewhere to submit in small batches. If I submit many one or two picture batches that pass, will I gain my stars back more quickly? Does anyone know? Thanks for any insight.
Well, I fought my way back....hallelujah! Achieved 3 star rank recently. Moved my cell phone photos to a location out of the way as the one cell phone photo that wound up in the second batch upload I think it was, caused my fall from grace. Although I read the Contributor guide and all the help info, I learn quite a bit from the forum. I would encourage new folks to join the forum etc..... as I am still tackling the RF - RM license thing. After reading and studying the help guides, I still find helpful info on the forum with all the different threads on the subject. And still confusing as to what to do with the RF - RM designation as I find another thread that points out something different. Well, could be this old hard headed geezer has hard time learning...... Thank You Alamy and friends of the Forum......I am staying......
I've looked for an answer for this, but can't seem to find anything... I've notice on my dashboard (top left) I have a bit of new information, I now have a "Your QC Rank is" followed by some stars, but without knowing the range of stars available it really doesn't tell me much. I have 3, is that 3 out of 3, or 3 out of ten? I'm sure this must have been discussed before, but I don't use the forum much and I will have missed it. Thank you in advance for your patience. R.
