Hi there, Just thought I'd say hello. I've been a professional photographer for over 30 years, but just started submitting to Alamy. I did register a few years ago but never seemed to get around to it. Hey ho.. Over the years I've worked in various areas, from Industrial & Commercial, Social, Medical, Forensic, Press & PR, to Video Production, Senior Staff Photographer at The Evening Times/Herald/Sunday Herald and Deputy Picture Editor at The Evening Times. I went freelance 8 years ago, mainly covering Press & PR. You'll see some of my pics here..
InTokyo posted a topic in Stock photography discussion and contributor experienceIf I have uploaded colour pix to Alamy, and these are not available anywhere else as microstock, in fact I have uploaded them as news pix (because they are), am I ok with allowing a third party (a PR agency) to download them? I said to them initially no, but thought that perhaps monochrome versions of the same images would be ok? but haven't moved on this yet as I am uncertain and don't want to jeopardise my relationship with Alamy….such as it is. Cheers
When in doubt whether an image contains property that needs release, I generally err on the side of caution and check YES. But here's an example of situation I'm not clear about. Does an image such as macro of American Flags reasonably need a property release (for the American Flags) for commercial use Thanks! Ann
