  1. Seven sales so an improvement on that score, though two netted me less than $3 each. Unfortunately for me, a 50% refund on one of my better value sales last year (last August!) pulled my monthly net down to <$82.
  2. What do you have to lose? Do you think the people that generated your sales on Alamy don't know that there are microstock agencies out there where someone could buy image licenses for less? The market is what it is. With SY you can demand the prices you think your images are worth. You don't have to fight the cheapest contributors. If you don't mind, I'll send you a link to my own SY site by PM. Maybe you can see the potential.
  3. June brought us 130 sales for not bad $$ (average seems to be creeping up) from 14,500 images. First 6 months $net revenue up on 2012 despite the cut in direct & distributor commission rates (so technically greater than +20%). In the Newspaper Scheme but not in NU. J
  4. I have a small slowly growing Alamy portfolio of both RF and RM images. I've had numerous RF & RM sales in recent years many in the $$$. dollar range. Even with the price reductions in the most recent years I've only had one sale slightly under $25. So yes - almost all of my Alamy sales have been for much more than the $25 which seems to be a typical amount for large or X-large SY images. Don't get me wrong. I think the Symbiostock concept is terrific. I intend to continue watching it evolve keeping open the possibility of implementing my own if it seems I could get pricing simi
  5. Aren't the extra creative images (those that don't show up under a name search) just generated from customer activity (sales and zooms)? I'm not sure a comprehensive list would tell us any more than we already know from our stats. ...or perhaps there's something Alamy aren't telling us.
  6. Unreasonable month from over 10k of images. 3 sales for $240-Better prices though which is encouraging just need a good few more. Still have 4 newspapers sales falling into the unreported category. Regards Craig
  7. Reasonable month with 15 sales Mixed prices lowest at $8 and highest of $440 Alamy Live producing a few sales as well
  8. For June 2013, 6 licences for $311.38 gross - about average. Looking longer term, January - June 2012 29 sales for $1664.07 January - June 2013 33 sales for $1422.46 Number of images added during the 12 months 1038.
  9. Amazing the same happens with my shots too. One thing I've found is that photos I kind of added just because they were nice, but not the ones I thought were going to sell best, have sold. And a couple that I thought would be a hit, have no sales... So to be honest, I can only answer you after the fact what has sold, and I'm not very good at predicting what buyers want. I assume the question was based on "what should I shoot" to sell here on Alamy, not really "What Sells" which is more of the kind where what sold last week, might never sell for another year. Look at searches keywords a
  10. I just do nature these days (because I enjoy it) and use Alamy and 2 specialised sites. Alamy does the best out of the 3. BUT theres not a lot of activity in "nature" IMHO. Most of my sales are from older "concept" and "travel" style images.
  11. Only 12 sales for $864. Any month of less than $1000 gross is a fail for me. I used to be able to do that with half my current images.
  12. 5 sales, $156.74 gross, out of 1,300 images. Happy with the number of licenses, which follows a strong increase in the No of zooms. Average gross price could be better, looking at some other posts.
  13. 31 sales in a 30 day month. Nice to average more than one a day. Best month for over a year both for sales and money.
  14. Best month in a long time with loads of $180 textbook sales. Average sales for the month over $150 each. I'm glad prices are going up! Tina
  15. 7 sales from 2000 which is good but gross just over $200 which is not so good.
  16. June 2013 19 images licensed Gross: $877.39 Net: $423.98 For the next two months, I'm planning on going a shooting and scanning binge. We'll see if it helps goose these sales.
  17. I can't speak for specialist sites, but in my experience nature shots do not do all that well on Alamy. I revamped my portfolio into four psuedonyms at the start of May, and put my nature/wildlife shots into one of them. Since then, the other 3 psuedos have a ratio of around 1.5 views per image. My wildlife pseudo has a ratio of 0.3 views per image.
  18. A bit like Michael: 20 for $1487.96 $ 74 average -but the average is skewed for 1 substantial distributor's sale. If I discard that and the 3 Novel Use sales the average is $33. That can mean sales prices are falling; it can also mean there are more sales (to new clients?) but those are for lower fees. wim
  19. June had a slight up tick in sales but the price per image continues to drop so my gross is average. 19 sales for $1664 Average price per image $88
  20. June saw a massive increase in my views, zooms and sales. I guess anything more then zero was going to be good lol Adding 400 images in June did help, 1 sale, an increase of 900 views, and 3 zooms. It's a step in the right direction. I'm only really starting out.
  21. Hi Andrew, I'm interested to know if those Live News images were from June submissions and they were reported straight away or were they older ones just getting reported? I had two sales late in the month similar to losdemas so a slow and steady increase on the previous months No, one took a year to report and the other six months. Andrew
  22. 279 gross from 2 sales so quite pleased... Lots of zooms too
