  1. definitely split it between two locations. 😄
  2. Thanks in advance for any advice or help. Based on a thread in the other forum, I need to do some spring cleaning to my portfolio. To many similar images Caption Keywords What I am hoping is that I can do this in bulk of some form. Ideally, can I search all my images using a keyword and have them show up in the keyboarding too? How? If not, what method would you recommend? Where do I delete similar or duplicate images? On animals and flower, scientific name or not? Thanks ahead of time, Emmanuel

  4. 1 sale per 1000 photos month. I am definitely doing something wrong here. Hope I figure it out quickly.
  5. Anyone here interested in f=getting together to shoot one day. Might be fun. I live in Covina, southern california.
  6. Funny, critiquing those who find trends in order to earn living. Isn't that what advertising and stock about. Finding things that people are interested in, creating the images and licensing them. Whether editorial or advertising, having what others want to see is what's important.
  7. How fun. My first SLR was a Pentax K100. Used a lot of KodaChrome and 100 Speed Fuji Slide film those days. Support my habit, rock climbing, with slide shows and guiding. Sold the occasional photo. First DSLR was a Nikon D80. Use it a lot, but both my wife and I upgrade to the D90 years back. *Still use those today.
  8. Thanks all. Yes, I am going to use the actual scanner as the camera. I see no reason why it wouldn't work. I created some images this way in the past for local stores, but never for stock. Man
  9. I lurk a lot, but don't post much. Awhile back I would shoot images on my light table to create a very clear white background. This work well with shooting flat objects, sometimes creating a backlit effect. You can get a similar image using a scanner. Have any of you used a scanner and submitted images here? How were the results? What DPI did you use, looks like my scanner can go bigger than 300? Thanks ahead of time.
  10. Just out of your time window, but my wife, Ernita, who also contributes here, and I will be doing a three week photo trip of East Java in June. We'll be focusing on areas away from the big city and how local earn a living. (Barely) Coffee, tea, pineapple and cinnamon farmers. Sulfur carrier Coastal workers. (Fisherman and boat builders.) Of course, we'll also have the day to day life we see. I lived in Indonesia for several years. Once you leave the main tourist destinations and cities, it's an amazing place with friendly people.
