  1. sadly i didn't think of saving after the capture. so i tried two other tests today, will report tomorrow, and then next week i'll report 80% of the observations.
  2. had you tested where it appeared in searches before?
  3. Using Capture one, with a fully paid licence is allowing me to buy plenty of bacon every year. 😉
  4. so i now have two images from a particular search which appear on page 2. I have altered one by adding a bunch of of random capital letters, and another by doubling my ST to make then Green. will report tomorrow if there is an impact.
  5. if you want to get it green, other the than CapITal game, just re-enter your Supertags as non-supertags, for some reason that counts as 2 KWs. i'll change one of mine also to test and report on this tomorrow
  6. from sales report, it appears only partially corrected @Alamy The image that was no already paid that went un-cleared as now been brought back to cleared. The image that was paid last month, still shows un-cleared.
  7. but now I have a green bar, so as per the other of the blog, an Alamy employee, my results should be better as i have "High discoverability", and this of course without creating false search results. (note i deleted them after doing it, now will try testing if She is correct for real)
  8. not always. in fact saturday seems to be the proof. By joining in the pricing to the bottom you force this kind of actions. Plenty of businesses survive by setting themselves apart as a premium brand on other factors than simple pricing.
  9. by creating irrelevant search results to the customers?
  10. at first i thought this was an outsider blogger who just pushed material and Alamy published it, but this is actually an Alamy employee who is advising people to spam keywords.
  11. this is outrageous. @Alamy why are you encouraging contributor to add marginal barely relevant keywords?
  12. at least next time this happens the drop will be 20% less 🤔
  13. So now we have an Alamy representative stating the the Download date is the date of sales, this is interesting and noted for future (not that future) references. Sorry Alamy but it can't be both ways
  14. the only place it makes a difference is in image manager they get counted separately, so the " low discoverability " thing bugs you just enter same word with mix of capitals. image, Image, ImaGe, IMAge, imagE would doubt as 5 kw... which again shows how discoverability is useless measure
  15. now i'm curious. It seems this was news to Alamy by the time we enquired. My message was half way through business day in the UK. Does that mean if it wasn't for us the major issue would have gone undetected, the same us Alamy is cutting salaries by 20% in 3 days?
  16. if batch was rejected, it's like they don't have those image in Database, so just resubmit from start. The KWs you had in your metadata would come with your images, or maybe i am missing something in your question. If your images were still in QC, you would not have been able to add anything to the original files within Alamy.
  17. some have above, plus Alamy representatives have been in this thread 🙄 so they should be aware
  18. it will be interesting to see how this goes, people leaving are getting actual replies in under 24 hours, let's see how quick they are for those who are actually sticking around with Alamy, but i am not kidding myself I've have plenty of experience with big business where the best service I got was when i was leaving.
  19. I have 2 licences that had cleared in last month, including one that was paid, go UNcleared today from different UK news organisation. No negative adjustments except in my cleared balance, any one else have this happen?
  20. if the licence was done, and Alamy claims it can not be reverse, they shouldn't charge you 70% commission, since the contract only allows such commission if you are part of the scheme, and you are not at TIME OF Sale, which Alamy defines as "date transaction is reported". Alamy should only charge 50%/60% Exclusive/Non-exclusive as per the contract. The contract clearly states that this is the commission.
  21. but Alamy always negotiates the Best deal 😉 (of course we don't know who it's best for)
