  1. Thanks for that. I was a bit concerned that by crediting themselves with the image, that they had taken "ownership" of it. It would have been nice to be credited, as it could lead to more sales, but I suppose I'll just need to put up with it!
  2. I recently sold a single image for marketing purposes (Usage: Marketing package - Large business, Use in marketing materials, worldwide for 5 years (excludes advertising). This package is for marketing campaigns promoting businesses which have more than 10 employees.), however Copytrack has found that this image has been used by the company in a press release. The images never have a copyright notice attached, but sometimes the image is credited to the company, and not Alamy or myself. Is the company allowed to do this?
  3. Is there any way that we (the photographers) can get any information on which company, organisation, newspaper, magazine, etc buys our images? It's easy enough to track some newspaper sales, but there are others that are not so easy, or near impossible to find, especially on the web. I currently use Copytrack, which does throw up some potential infringements, but not knowing who has bought an image at any given time, means that it is very difficult to tie usage to sales. Any ideas?
  4. Thanks, Sally. I'll keep an eye on the monthly thread, and try to contribute to it if I can.
  5. Many thanks to all who responded. Waiting for payment I can understand (but disagree with), but I just assumed that when an image was purchased, it would immediately show up in the sales history. Obviously, I was wrong!
  6. I recently sold a couple of images, one used by The Guardian newspaper (7th Feb), and The Times newspaper (9th Feb), and the other image used by The Guardian on 8th Feb, but none of these sales are showing up in my sales history. I have noted that other photographers appear to have their sales history updated immediately, so I'm wondering why nothing has showed up on mine. Anyone have any idea what is going on?
