  1. Might not have enough "large size" images in my collection, most are 12mp, I do have some up to 36mp (if my memory serves me well). Second thing is the sale resolution is not always given in Alamy's report... But never sold images beyond 12mp, a very few...
  2. Income in 6 months is higher than whole past year. So no complaints here. Also made some 2,3 and 5 sales to the same client which is also nice. I believe this is the result of the high number of uploads the past year... But, in the past 3 months views and zooms are descending, which is not a good sign for the future... And this month is really lousy... With some 10 days to go, hope will continue my nice average...
  3. http://www.vudafierisaverino.it/sites/default/files/uploads/news/175/attachments/parigidelvauxpalaisroyal.pdf A few Alamy photographs are used in this book... But I'm unable to see the whole PDF... Tried to buy the Ebook, but my Italian seems not be sufficient enough :-( FP Collection / Alamy Stock Photo: 135 Michael Jacobs / Alamy Stock Photo: 11 LOOK Die Bildagentur der Fotografen GmbH / Alamy Stock Photo: 10 Prisma Archivio / Alamy Stock Photo: 18 So, if anyone manages to see the whole book... I would appreciate seeing the usage of one of my pictures...
  4. If one can sue you, it's property... A numberplate can be property... A screenshot also... in doubt, check editorial... buyers are also aware of this issue... Let them chose...
  5. It's getting worse every day... PC at home: can't loggin PC at home private browsing: ok at work, same setup: ok iPhone: sometimes not, sometimes I have to Captcha 10 times... And sometimes not??? please Alamy, fix this!
  6. I also noticed, lately, that many sales are not a result of a zoom... Might be that the buyer zoomed previously or a distributor sale... or simply that the buyer could chose a photograph from a thumbnail? Who knows? I have been trying to figuring the whole process: ratio of views / zooms / sales etc... by checking daily number of views / zooms / sales and inputting everything in an Excel sheet... comparing nr of zooms in the past 3 months vs sales... Unfortunatly, I didn't find the formula yet... Anyway, I should spend more time shooting and improving my photography than making Excel sheets...
  7. YES! Even though not always??? On my Mac most of the time and on the PC sometimes... And it is annoying! I would also really like that Alamy would fix the automatic login. I basically have to login each and every time I want to check, upload... on Alamy's website. On the computer is not that much of a hassle, but on my iPhone it's a pain. I have plenty more of suggestions that would make our experience as contributors more pleasant, but that will be for another time ;-)

  13. Congrats! But for me :-( After a fantastic feb, can't complain...
  14. I use lightroom to add keywords and fill in info in the Exif (title, creator, place etc) and it works fine for me. But for different purposes I need to change fields in rhe Exif... well, for a lot of pictures... Will export the jpeg's and change them... I don't want to do this manually and not create anymore virtual copies... I'am searching for a solution where I can fill in a Excel sheet and batch change it accordingly... Have been looking on the net... Found Exif pilot... Anyone experience with it? Or some other solution? Thanks in advance for your input!!! Michael
  15. Haven't experienced problems lately, both on Safari (Mac) and Chrome (PC)... Normal pic upload and live news... Few months back did with FTP/Cyberduck and came back to web...
  16. Obviously, this forum is helpful, as I found two publications! Thanks for all who post in the "have you found..." posts!
  17. Would like to know if there are good tools to track where your photographs are used? I used pixsy, but it gives me strange results - photos that are not even close to mine... With google I get so many results that it is very difficult to find anything, even when narowing down... Obviously my name is very common, which doesn't help... I'm trying to compile a list of publications... Any other tools? Any help will be appreciated! Michael
  18. Thanks Kumar! Here are my submissions: 1) Rio de Janeiro - Copacabana 2) Tel Aviv, airshow - independence day 3) Tel Aviv, Ayalon highway (ring of Tel Aviv) on Yom Kippour (holiest day)

  20. Betty, Illustrator is though! I know/use plenty of 2D/3D software from LR, PS, Autocad, Vectorworks, Renderworks, Sketchup, Vray, Indesing... and many others that I used before... Illustrator still remains though to use... Good luck!
  21. Imho LR (and similar programs) can't be compared to PS (and competitors)... LR is a tool to catalogue and do basic adjustments... PS can do everything... I use 90% LR for my photos on Alamy For photographers shooting LOADS of photos, LR is a necesity: batch keywording, presets for eveything... So many stock photographers will use such software, at least for cataloging, keywording and basic adjustments... For more torough and/or creative editing PS is the tool. Many of you will not agree with me... But I think most will agree that communication between Alamy and contributors about working with LR (and similar) and Alamy with benefit both... I understand that many also use Bridge and Phase One... So doing a tutorial, blog post covering them will be very useful...
  22. Can't check, the date taken of my pictures, on my phone... But, you should check that you export your pictures with EXIF... Or at least the remevant part. In Lightroom you can strip the EXiF and thus remove date taken etc...
