  1. Thanks! I was thinking maybe people searching for photos can do a search or browse according to category...
  2. Is it strange that no one has read this or my mind working over time that Alamy blocked this discussion? ;-)
  3. Hello. I am fairly new to Alamy and just had 4 sales till now. I am in the process of updating my entries and optimizing them. Here is one I uploaded recently and I want to ask you what categories would it suit to have a good chance for a sale? Your advice is appreciated.
  4. So Alamy charges customers in GBP for photographs, does that mean they should pay me 50% of the GBP converted to USD? Why did they pay me 50% of USD? Also, there is further deduction. I understand maybe it is tax? But their website says they deduct up to 22% but in my case, they deducted up to 50%? I really don't see this as a fair deal here. Can someone please help make me understand?
  5. So I don't have to choose "Editorial Only" when listing this photo?
  6. Btw, the above photo I posted reached the finals of the World Press Photo contest but sadly did not win
  7. Would I need a release for this image? Also what tags would you advise for this? https://flic.kr/p/Sd7WNN
  8. Since it says Editorial Website, I guess it is for Internet and not for print?
  9. Hi Lisa, thanks for offering to help! What details do you need so I can find them? Just the licence details from "summary of images sold" , eg. Country: United Kingdom Usage: Editorial Media: Newspaper - national Print run: up to 2 million Placement: Inside and online Image Size: 1/4 page Start: 01 January 2017 End: 02 January 2017 Any placement in paper and online. One use in a single editorial article used within the print and digital versions of a single publication. Digital usage includes archive rights for the lifetime of the article. (That one is the Sun) Thanks. This is what I found in my summary. Country: Worldwide Usage: Editorial Media: Editorial website Industry sector: Media, design & publishing Image Size: Any size Start: 16 February 2017 End: 16 February 2022 Duration - 1 year; Size - up to 1/2 screen Will this help?
