  6. About your comment on identical sales. I the last two days, I've had two instances of two identical sales and like you I thought that a mistake had been made but upon closer examination of the terms, I found that there were small differences. The dates given for the use of each image were different. I've not seen this previously but it would seem to be happening.

  9. Re the accents in Scotland, I also have great difficulty understanding some Scots. I'm going a bit deaf in my old age and when I visit my daughter who lives near Lanark, I'm very often totally bemused by the accent. It can be embarrassing at times.

  15. Recently, in another thread, one of our esteemed Forum Regulars stated, and I quote "I can't stand it when a picture-buyer chooses images by another, lesser photographer... and not me." My first thought upon reading this comment was, If the buyer prefers the image from someone else, how is this image by a "lesser" photographer ? My next thought was, How does one judge who is "greater" and who "lesser" as a photographer ? The original comment might, I suppose, have been made in a light hearted manner but to judge other contributers as "lesser" seems somewhat harsh and arbitrary.
  16. All this talk about chickenpox has brought back memories of my catching it in the 1950s when I was about 26 years old. My wife had visited a friend who's young daughter had the disease and unfortunately for me she brought it home and gave it to me, my wife wasn't affected herself. I was very ill for about two weeks. with a painful rash all over my body and I was off work for about three weeks. Fortunately, I've never had a case of shingles, so I suppose I should feel myself lucky. I managed to get a free flu jab last week, Hurrah for our NHS!
