  1. With 41 sales dropping in overnight, which one to post? This one for $$$ - it was heavily cropped inside the print edition and 1/2 page. Lovely! Country: United Kingdom Usage: Editorial Media: Newspaper - national Print run: up to 2 million Placement: Inside and online Image Size: 1/2 page Start: 11 May 2020 End: 12 May 2020 Any placement in paper and online. One use in a single editorial article used within the print and digital versions of a single publication. Digital usage includes archive rights for the lifetime of the article.
  2. Went to bed with 2 sales for the month, woken up and 41 more have dropped in overnight with 5 $$$ sales and 16 $$ sales for a monthly total of $1648 gross. I'm stunned - best month ever!
  3. Ah, but they’re not. The amount of pics of west Cork from different photographers is quite amazing
  4. You say that - many of my news pics which have gone to stock are very high in search results
  5. I can beat that - I had a $$$ sale appear today with just two keywords - covid19 and covid 19. Go figure. 🀣
  6. I very rarely get zooms, my CTR hovers at the .5 mark, being predominantly a press photographer, although I do have around 1700 stock pics. When I get zooms, they mostly don't lead to a sale. 🀣
  7. Two dropped in today for low to mid $$$. Here's one which hasn't sold before Country: United Kingdom Usage: Editorial Media: Newspaper - national Print run: up to 2 million Placement: Inside and online Image Size: 1 page Start: 24 March 2020 End: 25 March 2020 One use in a single editorial article used within the print and digital versions of a single publication. Digital usage includes archive rights for the lifetime of the article. Any placement, any size.
  8. Grab shot from Bantry yesterday afternoon. Busy beach in Inchydoney, West Cork. Used today in the Cork local rag. Mad bloke on a bike in the sea in Tramore, Co. Waterford last Sunday
  9. I'm 5 star and can't remember the last time a stock submission didn't clear instantly. Live News pics always clear immediately.
  10. After the 48 hours of Live News, the images immediately go on sale as stock, with or without keywords.
  11. I sometimes quote the "Ask your mechanic to service your car for free if you credit him" line. Mostly it's the "F*ck Off" line. 🀣
  12. It gets worse. I hope when the writer contacts you, you'll reply with two words, the second word being 'off'?
  13. The reason he's made very little on Alamy is because his pics are available for pennies on SS - do you see?! πŸ™„
  14. So sorry for your loss, I know how upsetting it is. Now may be the time to embrace photography as a sort of release - get out there and take some pics! πŸ‘
  15. Ian, the number of pics in your port has stayed the same for months now. I've added 600 since April, not many compared to some contributors, but a lot for me. Get out there and start shooting and uploading pics. Not uploading new images isn't helping in your quest for sales.
  16. Hi Will and welcome to the forum. You have to realise Alamy is a long slog - you won't get zooms or sales straight away. You've 61 pics in your port, Alamy has nearly 207 million images in its port. Your port is miniscule at the moment. Upload images regularly which are technically perfect and caption and keyword them correctly and eventually you'll see results. My first sale came after 4 months and 400 pics so don't be worrying yet. Good luck!
  17. Yesterday I ate lobster, first time in years. It was yum.
