I inherited my first camera, a Kodak Brownie, and my wanderlust from my globe-trotting grandmother. At age 6 I took my first photograph and for over half a century now, I've been hooked. I took some photo classes in high school and college, and then took more at ICP (the International Center for Photography) while practicing law in NYC.
I eventually switched my focus to freelance writing and photography, and love the fact that my photos have been seen in books, magazines, calendars, puzzles and website across the globe. My first photo license here on Alamy was to a magazine in Moscow. You can see my travel photos in magazines such as Smithsonian and Coastal Living, Reader's Digest, and the German magazine Geo, among others, in travel guides by DK, Moon, Fodor's, Frommer's, National Georgraphic, and Workman publishing, and on travel websites such as travelandleisure.com and budgettravel.com. Newspapers include the New York Daily News, the Journal News, the Cape Cod Times, London's Daily Mail (including a Sunday magazine cover article), the Guardian, and dozens of local papers across NY and the rest of the US.
Lighthouses are a favorite obsession and I've photographed them in Iceland, Sweden, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Florida, landing me my first of more than a score of calendar photographs.
I've also photographed famous faces (including my neighbor, a former US president), for local magazines and newspapers as well as those across the globe.
Alamy's iPhone app, Stockimo, has helped me license some of my more creative offerings.
I also write about travel and photography. You can even see a photo of me with my second camera at age 7 (Grandma bought me that one for my birthday after the old Brownie gave up the ghost). I even wrote a 3-part series about selling stock with Alamy. (Here's part 2 and part 3).
I have also shown my fine art work in galleries around the New York metro area, including The Museum of the City of New York.
Hope you find useful and beautiful photographs of mine here on Alamy to license for your business.
