  1. Is photographic polygamy permitted? To be encouraged I'd say
  2. I keep getting funny e mails offering an upsize
  3. Well this happened to me yesterday; It was the second image in a group of 10. When the upload got to the end I clicked again on the Choose JPEG button and in the dialog box chose the file that was rejected, clicked upload and it went through ok. So a new mystery, what happened & why??? Am also on a iMAC with Safari.
  4. As stated before…. On claim form put Alamy claim 2013. Then in a separate e mail to dacs sent a copy of your Alamy statement from 2013. Easypeasy Phil
  5. I just received the mail from Alamy in which they say that as I am based outside the UK I cannot claim direct myself... For info: I have been successfully claiming directly from outside the UK for the last 3 years, and I've just completed this years claim form, and it shows my address as it has been for the last 3 claims, in Tenerife, Spain, and it went through without any problem. There may be an issue about new claims that does not affect me. Phil
  6. Link only shows 2 photos on… however maybe they pay x for 1st; then x/2 for 2nd; etc. Maybe...
  7. Unfortunately the Russia/China guys are unreachable so I write them off. Others I use Image Rights for and they have had mixed success. If you're in the UK and so is the infringer it's easy to DIY.
  8. Nice shot, Phil. Did you de-saturate or convert to black and white? Things have changed -- except the sin bin, of course -- since upsizing days. This begs the next question -- Does this type of image sell on Alamy? No desaturation or anything converted. This is how it was! As I said not sold yet, but I live in hope
  9. I'd send it. Here's one I sent when we had to upsize to 48mb: Hasn't sold yet though
  10. With LR you import your existing library into the LR catalogue, no need to create a new one. Then just use LR to add to your existing library as you add more photos. LR effectively becomes a database management system with a few extras Adobe have some great videos to help you understand how it works. On the "Help" menu look at "Lightroom Online" and follow the link to "Learn & Support". Takes a while to get into the way it works but well worth the effort. Good luck
  11. Bit late to this! I've been away and just looked in. Delighted to have made the final 8 and congrats to the well deserved winner.
  12. Careful with Italian publishers…Have had few bad experiences with mainstream publications ripping off photos and then blatantly ignoring all efforts to communicate. If you find one interested get paid up front, and don't send any usable images before the money is in the bank.
  13. Right click on any of the panel names in Develop mode and a list of Panels will come up. Make sure the ones you want are ticked.
