  2. Had a few issues recently with a panorama, 194MB, via FTP, it went in twice for some reason, similar thing has happened with other files that were a bit larger than usual. Phil
  3. Upload via all ways has been very odd lately... Also had an upload that took 24 hours to appear via web uploader. Ftp is regularly duplicating files... Using same ftp(filezilla) with other sites and no problem so definitely sommat amiss alamys end. Phil
  4. I was under the impression that if you opted in for distribution then automatically all your non restricted images got distributed. Is that not the case? Phil
  5. A selection of novelty mail boxes spotted when I visited New Zealand: Click on images to see larger and to buy a licence. Phil
  6. Reckon I'll be doing the same in future. Phil
  7. No..it was under max size...thing was it uploaded 3 times for some daft reason. Also another file uploaded twice.
  8. Well they all passed including duplicates! So deleted the 6 extra images and now on to keywording. It seems that in the first upload everything went through ok, including the 2 that Filezilla reported as not uploaded. The extras were 1 image uploaded 3 times, was a large file 194mb panorama; and another also largish, uploaded twice. Not sure if this was a Filezilla issue or an Alamy issue....Puzzling. Phil
  9. Today I ftp'd 28 images as stock using Filezilla. End report said 26 uploaded 2 not uploaded. Re uploaded the 2 that had not gone through. Just looked at track images; it shows 2 FTP uploads today, the first with 32 images, the second with 2.....Totally f...in' confused Phil
  10. Well I just had to delete half of my upload...it seems the FTP route takes a long time to appear in track images so something to bear in mind for future
  11. Did one FTP yesterday and thought it had gotten lost so redid it FTP, now total showing as both received, but in one line on track page. Will have to delete half when they pass.
  12. Fuji X100; X100S; X100T; fixed f2 lens, superb quality, built in ND filter, Leaf shutter. I'm still using the oldest X100 and it still looks great! Phil

  14. Good to see they're actually paying for images Maybe they are staring to realise all the freebies sent in by viewers are worth exactly what they cost
  15. A few weeks ago someone in Guimar, Tenerife, was fined for calling the Policia Local a bunch of skivers, on Facebook, under this same law. It's a move back to Franco era restrictions at a time when there is also a big move to remove traces of Francos name and references from public streets, strange contradiction It's a law that's likely to be repealed once the Eurocrats in Brussels get to grips with it as it clearly infringes freedom of speech legislation. Phil
  16. Another option: In photoshop, Duplicate the background; Change blend mode to colour; Add gaussian blur between 3 and 6 usually does the trick. You will see the offending colour fade away. Then add a mask to the layer, fill with black and brush in white over the offending area. Works on the most stubborn cases Phil
  17. +1.... no change for me in terms of the display!I am beginning to wonder if the firmware was corrupt when I installed it and are wondering if I can re download it and re install it .. Or just wait to see what Fuji has to say on the matter...bye the way Duncan I went out and purchased a 13 inch MacBook Pro with 8 gig ram 2.8 I5 turbo boost up to 3.3 GHz 512 flash drive. I chose the 13 inch as I wanted something smaller than my existing 15 inch windows Lappy for ease of carrying about... Really pleased with, it handles Lightroom and pscc no problem and starts up with the blink of an eye.. ( my o
