  3. Good to see they're actually paying for images Maybe they are staring to realise all the freebies sent in by viewers are worth exactly what they cost
  4. A few weeks ago someone in Guimar, Tenerife, was fined for calling the Policia Local a bunch of skivers, on Facebook, under this same law. It's a move back to Franco era restrictions at a time when there is also a big move to remove traces of Francos name and references from public streets, strange contradiction It's a law that's likely to be repealed once the Eurocrats in Brussels get to grips with it as it clearly infringes freedom of speech legislation. 5. Another option: In photoshop, Duplicate the background; Change blend mode to colour; Add gaussian blur between 3 and 6 usually does the trick. You will see the offending colour fade away. Then add a mask to the layer, fill with black and brush in white over the offending area. Works on the most stubborn cases Phil
  6. +1.... no change for me in terms of the display!I am beginning to wonder if the firmware was corrupt when I installed it and are wondering if I can re download it and re install it .. Or just wait to see what Fuji has to say on the matter...bye the way Duncan I went out and purchased a 13 inch MacBook Pro with 8 gig ram 2.8 I5 turbo boost up to 3.3 GHz 512 flash drive. I chose the 13 inch as I wanted something smaller than my existing 15 inch windows Lappy for ease of carrying about... Really pleased with, it handles Lightroom and pscc no problem and starts up with the blink of an eye.. ( my other macs were not like this, then technology has come on in the last ten years ) I will probably either get a 27 inch iMac I the future or maybe a Mac Pro ( I know it is over gunned for what I need, but why not and it is a thing of beauty )Another quick question.. I use the remote app for downloading images from my XT-1 to my iPad, has anyone got it to work with a Mac ?. Thanks, Steve. You can do tethered shooting with Lightroom I believe(not tried it). As for running iPad apps on a MAC, not figured that out.

  11. I have one and use it a lot with a 5DII...very sharp even at f4...however I try to shoot a 1/400+ at long end. However, 700USD doesn't seem like such a great deal, here I can get it new for 550Euros = 603USD! Phil
  12. After leaving college in the mid 80's I worked as a freelance assistant. The first time I worked with a still life photographer shooting 5x4 trannies I loaded the film back to front. Fortunately a test shot came back with a rather unusual colour cast and alerted us to the problem before shooting the rest of the film! Strangely he never employed me again Phil
