  1. When this happens after using the dropper tool in LR CA Correction I tweak the Purple Hue slider blue end if its against a sky and can often recover the blue in the sky without reintroducing the Purple fringe. Phil
  2. This is one of those rare moments in photographing an event, with so much outside your control, and the composition just can't get any better! Phil
  3. No need for a screen grab. Below the caption there's a link that says "Download a Preview." I clicked on the link and received a 1300 pixel wide image that's watermarked in the same way as Sultanpepa's photo appears in the tweet. I've seen photos like this on FaceBook and just presumed this was permitted by Alamy. If I'm mistaken about how these free previews may be used it's likely others are as well. There's lots of the downloaded previews on this facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/groups/FotosAntiguasTenerife/?fref=ts Just credited to Alamy, no link back to the Alamy website... Phil

  9. Same here, Very strange... Phil Very strange indeed. Dropped from page two to ................... bloody nine Contacted MS. Doesn't look right at all. The drop is certainly not in accordance to my sales / daily uploads / steady CTR. Cheers, Philippe (NOT amused!) I know that on at least 1 previous occasion they got the ranking wrong and re did it. Will be interesting to hear MS response.... Phil Got an answer from MS. Sit down 'cause you ain't gonna believe it: I should keyword better "The key to success on Alamy is to have a well edited and well keyworded collection to make sure the right images are appearing in front of the right customer." I N C R E D I B L E !!!!! They sure know how to demotivate people. Cheers, Philippe Sounds like major avoidance of looking at the problem and just giving out stock answer.... Not good.... Phil
  10. Happened to me, but I have absolutely no idea why/how...Just doesn't make sense. Phil A simple proxy is the amount of views divided by sales (of one pseudo). It's not perfect, but a good number that you have easily access to and can check on a monthly basis. Even daily, if you sell enough. Think of it as CTR for sales ;-) It's definitely not one on one with rank though. But it will show your progress very easily and quite accurately. With Pseudonym Summary, you can even plot the numbers for each month or week for the past year. wim edit: Err.. not just progress... ;-) OK, With figures from 1/7/2015 to date: Number 1 Psuedo: Views/Sales = 1557.37 Number 2 Pseudo: Views/Sales = 5119 Still don't see the How/Why of reversal of Pseudo position.... 13. Noice!!! Very, very noice!!!! Sort of a double-double-bluff . . . the rainbow stands out, grabs the eye immediately, demands to be the centre of attention, proclaims itself the subject . . . but the window and raindrops cover the whole frame and thereby have a technical claim to be the subject and by default have to pass QC muster, if they're sharp . . . and they are, they're sharp as a tack . . . but the real subject, the one the eye keeps guiltily sneaking back to, sits there in all its blurry glory, daring QC to say the focus is in the wrong place . . . Hey, okay, sometimes when I'm not too busy my mind wanders . . . others collect stamps . . . dd Muchos thank yous for your comments....Wander on... Phil
