  1. Hi folks: Each time I try to click on "My Alamy" it is taking me to the "log in" page even though I am already logged into the site. Anyone else finding this problem tonight? Thank you, Kathy
  2. Nacho: OT perhaps but you have the most wonderfully riveting collection of Latin American images, perfectly composed and spontaneous. Very hard to tear myself away and get back to work. I think they will do well here. Kathy
  3. OMG - sale today on a Sunday. Of a photo I took in the 1960s....
  4. Hi Shakir. Welcome to Alamy. It will be interesting to see your photos when they are uploaded. Good Luck, Kathy
  5. Kumar: It appears on the Balance page as "other income" stating it is an infringement use and gives you the code. It doesn't appear in Sales. I have had a few, for not a lot. Another 1/2 dozen this a.m. Kathy
  6. 26 sales for four figures. The last couple of days were the best with an infringement report and three three figure sales among others. Still awaiting a 180 sale to clear from Sept. Kathy
  7. Nice David Bowie pic Rolf and 1970s portraits i.e. Pippi Longstocking author. I loved that book. Interesting collection! Kathy
  8. Furthermore, if you click on one of these images that invites you to look at others pics, and you want to click on the EDIT BUTTON you have to scroll past loads of competing images that often have no connection with the search term to reach the bottom of the page!
  9. I don't know what effect this will have, or if it is a temporary experiment or how it is affecting searches but from the beginning of January until the 13th or 14th I was having excellent zoom results and CTR. Since then CTR has dropped considerably. Sales seem okay though, at least for this month. I do long for some kind of consistency.
  10. Thanks Mark, The situation isn't really like that. The singer is the photographer's flatmate and she photographs her on a regular basis. The record label wants to reproduce some of these images. Kathy
  11. Hi folks, I had a query from a young photographer yesterday about how much she should charge for an image she has taken of a singer on a vinyl album cover and half a dozen press release shots. It is being used on an artist's first album by a UK Indie record label. I tried the Alamy calculator but couldn't be as specific as I wanted. Anyone with an idea or two would be welcome. I'd like to help her out. With thanks, Kathy
  12. Don't know how much, but she could stagger the price - eg. for first 20,000 albums sold, then go higher etc. Thanks for your reply Vpics but I think I will post this on it's own topic as it may be a bit off and isn't eliciting much interest. Kathy
  13. Yes, I think you just create a new pseudonym and use that one. You can change it in the Attribute's section of Manage Images. There may be help in Contributor's Help or by searching the forum using the term "pseudonym". Good Luck! Kathy
  14. Hi stockbuster, You are right, fotoDogue on the first page of this topic is replying to Ahmed's question at the top. Sorry. But then I checked your photos and my confusion about your use of pseudonyms still applies. I would think it would be advisable to narrow your use of pseudonyms to one or two until you have sufficient photos. Otherwise I think it lowers your CTR. Maybe others know. I only use one which is my name but I seem to recall this is how it works. And helping to improve your CTR will help to improve sales. Kathy
  15. Hi: I agree with fotoDogue's comment below. You seem to be using keywords or descriptions of individual images for your pseudonym and they appear after the copyright symbol. V. strange. Why not use your name on all of them? A lot of work now but surely worth doing. "I'm confused by your use of so many pseudonyms. Is this what you mean by "albums?" With so few images I would think you'd want to use a single pseudonym to help boost your overall collection from images that have sold or been zoomed. Also, Copyright Faces or Copyright Turkey doesn't seem to make much sense."

  17. Hi Wim: If you look at the thumbnail version it is perfectly legible and you barely see the watermark at all. Alamy might like to consider doing what other stock agencies do which is have a movable watermark which you can strategically place according to the detail in the photo when you make the initial adjustments. In any case, I would leave it. Kathy
  18. Thanks for posting this sale Lynne. Nice to see this image being used! Kathy Lynne, on 09 Jan 2016 - 06:29 AM, said: BBC News Magazine 9 January 2016 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-35261648 Kathy deWitt
  19. Yes, thanks Ian, Mark. I just wanted to go back and forth but this is an obvious solution. It would be nice if you could click repeatedly to open via the My Alamy button but this will do fine. Kathy
