  1. Just to confirm, it's Alexanders. Frequent over here on my local North Norfolk coastal patch. Native in NW France, naturalised in Britain. It is said that the Romans ground the small black seeds to make a kind of pepper. Jim.
  2. Yup! But ain't it strange what sells sometimes - makes me wonder why we do it sometimes!! It has to raise a .
  3. Views down, zooms up, and only 2 sales including one PU where the subject matter was a public toilet!! My sense of humour has deserted me!! Jim
  4. Nothing so far this month. Zooms have recovered a bit and one reported sale to come.
  5. Over the last 12 months 13% of all sales have been PU representing 9% of total gross value. In this category I have only had one sale below $10 which is certainly not the lowest overall.
  6. I've just discovered mine passed this morning. Hope yours are OK too, Bryan. Jim
  7. I must admit I haven't noticed a change but I've been a bit longer than usual in QC at the moment. What worries me about my latest submission is that a bunch of shots were taken on a hot day last weekend at Cromer on the cliff top. There were swarms of flies which appeared just like dust spots on my images - I know what they were but, with QC in mind, I spent a considerable amount of time erasing them. I'm now wondering if I missed one or two. They could easily be mistaken for dust spots. Time will tell! Jim
  8. Slowly as she goes! 5 sales for $152 gross. Views up 71% but zooms down by 52% which hasn't done much for my CTR - but ranking of pseudos holding up on pages 1 and 2 which is pleasing. Jim
  9. In. Only two distributor sales so far this year. Regarding my Stock portfolios, I'll take income from wherever it comes. But still disappointed at the 'net' result as it's the contributor who always seems to lose out. In the long term it reminds me of the saying, 'Don't kill the goose that lays the golden egg'. However, all supply and demand in a saturated market! Jim
  10. I wonder if this is a contributing factor to the recent drop in zooms. Anyone else experiencing this? Jim
  11. I think I must be on the rollercoaster ride again! Rather disturbingly, zooms have vanished again and consequently CTR has nose dived. Views holding up and sales at one per week. Jim
  12. A bit below par here - 4 sales for $81 gross including three disappointingly low items. In terms of quantity I'm averaging a sale per week this year which is not bad for me. Views and zooms maintaining a constant level. Jim
  13. 4 sales for $88 gross. Zooms and views maintaining a constant level. Jim
  14. Thanks, Alamy. If I remember correctly these were negative and in the wrong place. Jim
  15. Well done Geoff, Mirco and Brasilnut on a civilized discussion! Jim
  16. 5 only for the month. Income disappointing which included two distributor sales. Down on January last year. Views and zooms up just a bit compared to the previous mouth. Jim
  17. I normally upload in sets of 10. I find it is manageable and fits in with my workload. Jim.
  18. Rollercoaster! From my point of view, this week views have dropped significantly and zooms are non existant. Disturbing! Jim
  19. I think you'll find this is an all too common a problem, but if you remember you've forgotten something don't worry too much. I feel I'm a bit ahead of the game at my three-score-years-and-ten time of life, and for quite a while I've resorted to using notelets to write thing down I want to remember. Believe me, it helps!! Only trouble is I have slips of paper all over the place as I'm not a very tidy person. My family have observed this, and one of my presents last Christmas was a perpetual calendar with a stack of notelets built into the base - very useful. One of the things I often do, and it makes me smile every time, is when I'm mounting prints and go to the cupboard for a pair of scissors, I open the door and find I'm staring in at the 'fridge. It reminds me where I should be! Well, Happy New Year to you all. Now where is that note I made about my next submission theme........ Jim
