Am a new contributor and want to upload my first pictures. Could someone explain what EXIF info is? Also it seems I need to buy an image program, such as Photoshop or Affinity to get the uncompressed file size of a picture? Another important question is it okay to make changes to a picture using an image program then submit this picture? Appreciate feedback from the community. Thanks, Eric Packer

Recently signed up to be a contributor and would like to learn more about the best way to plan a shoot for a Picture Needs subject. Live in Boston, so am interested in learning about accessing historical and archival pictures, researching these events then locating pictures that can be posted for specific Picture Needs subjects, such as the Old Boston Highway and the Intolerable Acts Law: Boston Tea Party. Recently signed up to be a contributor and would like to learn more about the best way to plan a shoot for a Picture Needs subject. Will be heading down to New Orleans for Jazz Festival and while searching for Picture Needs in New Orleans, saw that the Ace Hotel and the Louisiana Music Factory were listed. Can someone from the community give me some initial guidance concerning the range of pictures for both subjects that I should include in these two shoots. Look forward to getting responses ASAP, since I travelling to New Orleans in late April for Jazz Festival. Eric Packer
