  1. Drummer Bob Harrison performing live in Montreal in the 80's. New Orleans Lagniappe Brass Band giving an outdoor show on Esplanade de la Place des Arts during the Montreal Jazz Festival. Trio of Mexican musicians photographed on a street of Puerto Morelos, state of Quintana Roo, Mexico Sorry about the small pics. If I copy the URL of the larger image I still get "You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community".
  2. You're not the only one. The images I'm trying to upload (following the instructions) are on Alamy, and I keep getting the message saying "You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community".
  3. "You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community". is the message that I get when I try to post my images.
  4. I found one of my images on this site by looking up my name. Any good reason why I shouldn't send them a menacing email (to what avail, will it result in anything)? Should I send the link somewhere else first (somebody mentioned the FBI)?
  5. After receiving a message from alamy saying there were 3 licenses I could claim for, I sent an email to DACS. After a week, I hadn't received an answer, so I wrote again, and I still haven't heard from DACS. I included a statement of my sales covering the period from 2010, when I started with Alamy, to the end of 2013. We have only a few more days to make our claim...
  6. I'm working on an image taken yesterday. It's a picture of a circus big top with yellow and blue stripes. Raw file, 16 bits. Depending of the angle of the stripes (spiral pattern), the junction between blue and yellow is pixellized in a staircase pattern at some places, on all of the four frames I took. Those artefacts appear in no other image, in fact I've taken many thousands of pictures with my D700 and 24-70 zoom, and it is the first time I see this. I was using a polarizing filter. The pixels are visible in the raw file without sharpening. Anybody knows why this happens and how to get rid of the artefacts if possible? Thanks
  7. Try clicking on "Alamy Measures" at the bottom of the dashboard page and then on "Your Images" in the drop-down menu. Got it. Thank you!
  8. I haven't been able to find the link to my pseudonym's summary. I think it was called "my images" or "your images" in the previous version.
  9. I wouldn't have dared submitting an image as noisy as the picture of Kate Perry appearing on the welcome page. I guess that I was wrong.
  10. Just tried Google Chrome, and the tabs are there. So the problem only happens when I use Explorer...
  11. This morning, wanting to look at my summary, I opened Alamy's website, and noticed that the tabs in the upper right corner, including "My Alamy", had disappeared. Did this happen to anyone else?
  12. I have some b&w images dating from the late 70's, showing a technician operating a machine used for pressing vinyl records. I scanned the 35mm negs with a Nikon Coolscan 9000ed. Having had a few scans rejected by QC, I'm afraid to go in the bad boys corner for a month if those images fail. Is there a special archive upload, similar to News image upload, that I can use to submit those pics?
  13. Speaking of delay, I still have an unpaid Brazil sale from June 2012 ...
  14. Thanks for your answers. I finally found a solution. All my settings were set to neutral, so I started playing with ROC and GEM (I'm using Nikon Scan). Adding a touch of digital ROC gives much better looking images. But I still don't know why the thumbnails were ok, but the images weren't.
  15. Hi, I'm trying to scan color negatives with my Nikon Coolscan 9000ED, which is working well with slides and B&W negs. Here's the problem: While the small vignettes at the top of the screen look fine, when I open one of the images it is completely different, blueish and very low in contrast. I'm able to improve some images to a certain point, but most are impossible to correct. I resetted the controls to the default values to no avail, the vignettes still look good, but when I open an image, it's completely off. Thank you in advance for your help.
