  4. I had an email from Alamy this morning telling me my images had passed QC. They haven't. Just me?
  5. I'm giving instagram a try and here's my new account. Still learning how to use it https://www.instagram.com/mjcreativeimagery/
  6. Michael, I recently bought the newest MacBook Air 13". It's great but it is expensive. Unfortunately, I am the last person to give anyone specific tech advice.

  9. I'd suggest getting closer to people in shots of people doing things (see the various shots that sold). Also, you have a lot to photograph in Buenos Aires. Also, it can be useful to photograph plants and animals (including fish and invertebrates) from Argentina that others may have less chance of photographing.
  10. USA, Washingtonian magazine, May 2019 issue Pg. 16, Devin Nunes, DPA Picture Alliance Pgs. 62 and 63, Rock Creek Park, Washington DC, Eric Broder Van Dyke
  11. This should be required reading for every Alamy photographer. Lots of photography philosophy, look at his images, read his story carefully. We would all like to do this, and over the years Lanting has consistently set the standard. https://www.dpreview.com/interviews/3430815255/earth-day-2019-frans-lanting-photographer-interview
  12. Sorry I have no experience with Cambo PCH gearhead but that won't stop me from sharing my opinion... 🤣 If you are looking for a specialized geared head for architecture work I can highly recommend the Arca-Swiss C1 Cube Geared Head with the Arca-Type Flip-Lock Quick Release. Down side is it does not do verticals very easily, you need and L-plate for your camera for easy verticals, it is slow but VERY precise. Another plus is it is very compact, probably not the best do it all geared head but for getting the camera level and plum it's the best... IMHO Hope this helps,
  13. I don't know if it will give my website traffic (and dare I say sales) a boost, but I just created this. Happy to follow others who follow me. https://www.instagram.com/andrewmichaelphoto/ Andy

  15. I’m considering buying a Macbook or Macbook Air for traveling and using it mainly to work on my photos on Lightroom. If I do will take the better processor and if possible take 16 Gb of ram. Not interested in the Pro model as way to expensive... I have checked the minimal requirements of Lightroom and puzzled by the video memory (1 to 2 Gb) as this information is not given by Apple... I suppose the video memory is shared with ram? Anyway, what interests me more is the experience other (stock) photographers have with those computers... thanks in advance
  16. Has anyone here used the Cambo PCH Gearhead? If so, what's your impression of it?
  17. I would say you have the right approach Nora you have identified all the locations which is alway very good make sure you add "South America" to your image tags. You do have a a number of photos from the same basic location "Meliquina River in the Lanin National Park, Patagonia" so demand for that will be limited. I would say just keep doing what you are doing and take photos in other parts of Argentina as well as daily life By the way you might want to change the description for this photo to mention its solar panels or what ever

  19. Nora, you have a good eye and a sense of stock. But you don't have a small portfolio, you have a very small portfolio. Understand that this is a long game. If you wait until you get sales before submitting more images, you will fail. You have to keep producing and submitting to do anything at Alamy. Good luck, Edo
  20. https://www.instagram.com/gerryrousseau/ Me as well, not much of an instagram poster, but, when I can, 🙂

  22. Morning. I'm Nora Mazzini, from Argentina. I've been at Alamy for a short time and my portfolio is small. But I think it's a good time to ask for a general review, so I don't keep uploading photos in the wrong direction. In fact, I haven't made a single sale in Alamy and I have made a sale in other image banks. Thank you in advance for your help! https://www.alamy.com/portfolio/noramazzini
