  2. Good result, but careful what you post this time of day, I nearly spat coffee all over my desk.
  3. Which just brings you back to the which is valuing the work more the 100 sales at $1 a time or the single sale at $100? Not to mention it feeds into the myth that people who do not have a budget who are forced to spend as little as possible do not value what they buy.
  4. It's essentially a borescope lens. They're not particularly rare, but they are at Laowa's price. https://www.adorama.com/us 1103082.html http://www.visualproducts.com/storeProductDetail02.asp?productID=1092&Cat=3&Cat2=49 We had one when I worked at a weapons range for photographing gun barrel damage, with a 45 degree mirror. It probably cost as much as a car.
  5. Just checked their website - and I am impressed. Obviously, they do more than just that long probe but what surprised me was they do stuff (including the probe) for many different cameras. I thought they might just do Canon fit - or possibly Canon and Nikon - but they cover other brands as well. Also, the prices do not seem horrendous - certainly not cheap but not as much as might be imagined. Now back to the lottery numbers..........
  6. I assume that as he mentions the IRS, OP is in the US.
  7. Interesting. Are there any other companies that make lenses like this?
  8. Unless you are a stock photographer with this as his main business I don't think you need to worry too much at the moment. When the time comes that you are starting to earn a substantial amount from your images with Alamy then that is the time for this sort of question. My understanding is that you can make up to £1,000 a year from your hobby with out having to notify the tax office. Others may differ. Allan
  9. Today
  10. I recently did an update to Lightroom which caught me out when I tried to export files whilst out.. it wouldn't do it, which was a bit of a showstopper. Apparently it's a known bug, and here is the workround :- https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/error_export_folder.html regards Simon
  11. I know , I was answering his question. The link I posted gives info on applying for one before he arrives.
  12. As Edo is an Irish citizen already, he will probably just need to apply for his PPS number which is not done through the police. If he is heading to Sligo then: Applications for Personal Public Service Number (PPS Numbers) in Intreo Centre Sligo are by appointment only. Please contact 071-9148582 to make an appointment.
  13. Very interesting I will have to checkout their website.

  15. It is your choice exclusive or nonexclusive you can also have some as exclusive and others not. Liam
  16. Sorry, the local police station. Or in Irish an garda siochana, it's where you go to speak to an immigration representative.
  17. Garda is the Irish for police. Hope you are ok with the bronchitis Edo. Sligo is probably a good move
  18. I was just about to post exactly the same question - an interesting piece of kit Alex
  19. Hi everyone, Just to make sure, are we as sellers required to provide tax form information to Alamy? I ask this because I see other similar contributor websites requiring this. As far as I understand, Alamy does not mention anything related to taxes. Yet, they do mention something about fees, but I don't know if it is only from PayPal and/or Alamy, but I remember the terms saying that it is a very low amount, about $1 to $10, not sure. If so, do I need to work this out first, and if I do, do I need to contact the IRS to request a form? I have never worked officially for any company, so what would I need to do if am required to provide information to Alamy and/or the IRS? Thank you. Regards, Javier

  21. Hi everyone, Does anyone know if I am permitted to uncheck the "Exclusive" option on Alamy Image Manager, even though my vectors are already on sale? Thanks, appreciate all your replies. Regards, Javier
  22. and now it is working again on Monday at 8 a.m. UK time and it wasn't the internet connection as I could continue working on other websites. Kathy deWitt
  23. Greetings Betty, Thank you for the constructive feedback, I can now see what you mean by only using "literal" tags and concepts, but can I change that now even though they are already on sale? Kind Regards, Javier
