Problems with uploaded and captioned images not appearing?
Avpics replied to Chuck Nacke's question in Community support: ask the forum
The database didn't update yesterday. Images uploaded, captioned and tagged on 17th are now showing today (19th) but as yet those from 18th are not available. -
WHAT CAMERA IS EVERYONE USING?
Avpics replied to Resolute Inc's question in Community support: ask the forum
I joined Alamy whilst using a D90 and at that time it only just met the file size requirement, so any amount of cropping of an image resulted in a failure - since changed. Currently using very battered D750 and D610. -

Good to see measures working again. Another sale, zooms and CTR too. -
Image order in portfolio randomly re-organised
Betty LaRue replied to Sally Robertson's question in Community support: ask the forum
One of the things that bothered me is when a poster asked what cameras we used in a recent thread, I replied what I use. But I couldn’t say, “the first 6 images you see when you click on the number under my avatar was taken with (X) camera. I could do that before. I can’t even say, “the image of the coconut meringue pie on page one was taken with my Sony RX100VII.” Because the pie image might not be on page one anymore. If someone kept looking on further pages, they might come across a similar pie taken 10 years ago with one of my since sold Nikons. I remember when Edo first got his RX100-VII, he mentioned something like “the first 16 images you see (or something similar) were taken with it.” A rather nice way to evaluate images of a camera one is contemplating buying. -

Currently all old NIKON D800s Glass from 16mm to 300 mostly 2.8 zooms. Have a few old NIKKOR primes in a box... Have a couple of very old CANON G9s that I've been using for skiing, but probably going to replace them with SONY RX???? (even though I hate SONY and yes, I know they made the sensors in the NIKONs.) But my most important pieces of equipment are my old CANON FS 4000 film scanners. Use them often. Chuck - Yesterday

Isn’t that a logo/trademark? Should we be worried? (I have a very similar one but taken at Westfield.) -

BILD infringements?
Harry Harrison replied to Jansos's topic in Stock photography discussion and contributor experience
Well quite. I almost think I shouldn’t mention it as all pictures had to be removed and all mentions on here expunged. Let’s just say that they were small, they hung up, and they were shaped like t-r-e-e-s! Unless I just dreamt it all up. -

There are zillions of logos available at certain other stock agencies. This whole thing strikes me as nonsense. 🙄 -

BILD infringements?
Michael Ventura replied to Jansos's topic in Stock photography discussion and contributor experience
When watching U.S. TV news, I see logos all the time, used when a company is making news, either in good or bad context and I doubt they are going to each corporate office to get the logo straight from the source. Sometimes they are just the logo or a photo of the logo out in the "wild", in context with some sort of structure. -

It's before my time but wasn't there was an issue with a certain air freshener company on here that became rather toxic. -
WHAT CAMERA IS EVERYONE USING?
Harry Harrison replied to Resolute Inc's question in Community support: ask the forum
Your camera is absolutely fine for Alamy, 24MP APS-C, a very good choice. Unless you are desperate to replace it anyway you might be better asking contributors@alamy.com if they know why your images didn't pass QC, it won't be the camera and if it is then someone has made a mistake. It does happen. -

Indeed. Sadly the database missed out! No update today, which of the two should be the priority. -

Old Nilkon D800 with the 2.8G trinity. Leica Q3. Much easier to carry around. My wife currently uses a Fuji X100. Waiting on a Fuji X100 VI.
