  2. Reported today $ New design National Grid T Pylons running through the Somerset countryside as part of the new Hinkley Point C Power Station connection
  3. I have photographed buildings/businesses multiple times from the same position, the only difference being the people walking past, entering or exiting, they were all obviously different. I select a variant of people based upon age, clothing, numbers in a group, ethnicity etc.
  4. It's a wonder no one has flown a drone over the cemetery to photograph it, or if possible shot it from an elevated position.
  5. Today
  6. The Piazza Fountain it's called -- 5 mins from my front door. It's been shut down for a while. People, please -- I'm not looking for new subject matter. My question is about similar.
  7. It's a bit bigger so not quite as "pocket sized" Mark
  8. 1st thing I noticed is to my eyes the splintered bare wood seems soft.
  9. I think "similars" is really only an issue of submitting multiple photos taken somewhat consecutively in the same light and camera orientation, with little to no difference from frame to frame. Revisiting a subject is totally fair game and I think good practice, in many cases.
  10. I also often find myself taking the same subjects again and again as I tend to photograph scenes and subjects because I am there rather than going 'there' to photograph something new. Things do change over time though be it the light, the season, scenes outside show their age and change. If nothing else, it feeds the machine, keeps the alamy algorithms happy that you are uploading new content so that your images remain visible in search results.
  11. The Sony is clearly well liked but I wonder why the Panasonic LX100 mk2 doesn't get talked about as often ? Seems to be equally well specified and has a larger sensor. Also I believe it has a more traditional dial- based rather than menu- based design which is another plus point in my opinion.
  12. Preferably not a BILD newspaper
  13. I hear you. But thanks for sharing these wonderful photos with us. I hope they do sell!
  14. Am not sure if there is still any reason to submit such images to Alamy nowadays
  15. Cycling Weekly 25th April issue Poor quality broken bicycle / bike / cycle lane / lanes with a cracked / failing surface & pot hole / holes / puddle / puddles. Ashford. Middlesex UK image #HPBFGB David Gee / Alamy Stock Photo
  16. Sign at Walking Street, a street with many businesses and bars catering for tourists, in Pattaya, Thailand. Personal use. $.
  17. 18. I have a couple for once in a much larger town near me, had an opportunity so I took it. Also I don't know why I have to go through multiple steps to get the URL of these unless someone knows a quicker route... I might have improved since December 2023 but I'm still figuring out better tagging since I have no CTR at the moment.
  19. Yesterday I was stuck in stand-still traffic while trying to get home after a shoot in Virginia. Not a great picture but I asked my son to grab my camera out of the bag on the back seat and I snapped one frame of the headquarters of a major U.S. financial corporation, Capital One, in McLean, Virginia. Hopefully it will sell to offset the extra gas I had to use...it took an hour and half for what should have been thirty minutes to get home.
  20. People waiting for the bus, people getting on the bus, the bus pulling out. Same for the train. Pictures close up of the bus/train schedule. The market storefront, people entering the market, people leaving the market with purchases, inside the market, someone with an item in their hand looking at it, people in the checkout lane, someone using the self-checkout. Find a bench, sit for a while with camera handy & snap people doing things. If it’s raining, find a place with cover you can shoot people walking by dealing with the rain, umbrellas, newspaper over head, human interest. Your Sony RX100VII is a spy camera, you know. And you take great images!
  21. Maybe start doing an editorial style of caption for these additional images, anyone searching might want a specific year etc. Could add value to each image. Also monitor the local news and photograph places making the news, new store openings etc.
