BILD infringements?
Harry Harrison replied to Jansos's topic in Stock photography discussion and contributor experience
Is this just a pre-emptive attack on Alamy I wonder, another site has plenty of close-ups of the Bild logo under Editorial but not in Creative. Seems reasonable. -
BILD infringements?

Deleted. Dumb question. -
Personal use sales
John Mitchell replied to geebee's topic in Stock photography discussion and contributor experience
Not sure, but it does suggest that a lot of PU and Presentation sales might not have actually been PU and Presentation sales. P.S. To be fair, though, anonymous e-commerce customers apparently now see only the Standard and Enhanced licensing options in search results -- i.e. it seems that the Personal and Presentation use options are gone except for clients with existing accounts. -
Great action shots Sally!

Personal use sales
Harry Harrison replied to geebee's topic in Stock photography discussion and contributor experience
If they really have done that then surely they should have A. Told us and B. Updated AIM because you can opt out of Personal Use but not Presentation sales so if they are now one and the same how does that work?. -
Measures Again

126 views, 2 zooms, CTR sitting at a high 96. That's healthy 'measures' figures for me. -
WHAT CAMERA IS EVERYONE USING?
Dave Richards replied to Resolute Inc's question in Community support: ask the forum
I love Nikon gear. I had a D610 and the 24-70 f2,8 VRll. I was finding that combo a bit big and weighty as my walkabout kit so traded them in when Nikon bought out the Z6 ll. The 24-70 f4 is a cracking lens and as sharp as the f2,8 and I really don’t miss the two stops below f4. -
Personal use sales
John Mitchell replied to geebee's topic in Stock photography discussion and contributor experience
As discussed in another thread, Personal and Presentation sales appear to have morphed into Standard Licenses. I have only one PU sale this month (full price $19.99) and a bunch of "standards" for various prices up to $19. -

That's a great result, Nick. I enjoy photographing most wildlife, but butterflies and reptiles are my favourites. Butterflies and bees both seem to sell reasonably well (reptiles less so), but bees are much harder to identify than butterflies. -

728,866 images currently on Alamy. At least with that keyword. But the first pages indeed have some good images. Not all: Stunning brunette lady touched by her jealous husband - I guess it may be the exact right description for that market. And there are even searches: 75 for the current rolling year. Some fine examples: stunning images of the world aroundus stunningly nude native tribal women 2AT4N8H HRH wearing a stunning black dress commissioned from All without any result btw. Even when aroundus is corrected. Two for the stunning black dress without the Alamy ref #. (It's the Revenge Dress.) stunning tulips in vase. Result at last! 19 images of not very impressive tulips 12 of which without a vase. Plus 3 videos! Also not very stunning either. Should we all start using stunning fabulous great fantastic amazing? Maybe yes. Especially when AI is going to drive searches also. Which of course it will. wim -

I have managed a front cover for the BBC wildlife magazine with a butterfly off here, which was pleasing. -

Same for me. #1 birds, #2 butterflies. Neither hot sellers so I expanded. After all was said & done, a home-baked pie licensed for the most $$$ for advertising. -

It was butterflies that got me into photography, and still a big passion of mine. -
Nice pictures, and very interesting backstory, Sally.

Thank you kindly Paulette. I was glad to get the image of Kelly Slater just before he entered the water. He is considered the greatest professional surfer of all time. It's thought at 52 he may be at the end of his career. I really enjoyed being there and got to chat to some other photographers too.

US Standard License for 1 user. Mid lower $$ (PU + 1 ct) First time for this one from 2015. Lake Eau Claire reservoir Wisconsin. The AI caption: Stunning reflection of trees and sky on calm lake waters at sunset with cloudscape. My caption: Lake Eau Claire reservoir Wisconsin. Wonder what the search term was. Not zoomed.
