Oh.. Happy birthday Ed 💐 and thank you everyone for replying. I'm coming down to choose RX100M7 because I used my nikkor 55-200mm lense quite a bit, so the zoom feature would be perhaps more useful for me to frame correctly. Though I wud love to hv faster lens and ND filter of M5..

Yeah.. This is what I want.. Otherwise everyone stares when you go to some public place with a dslr, feel bit embarrassing if that's not a tourist place haha

Yeah Sony RX100 have been a favourite since long back, i was wondering if anything new has come now.. searched online and found Sony alpha 7, do you have any idea if alpha 7 has better features than RX100... coz alpha 7 has triple the price than RX100 7.. and is it wise to get RX100 M3 than M7 ? .. it has half the price.. Thanks for complement for my images... yeah i should review their keywords... actually i deleted most of my images and left the few, these were uploaded when i just started uploading images... at that time some different keyword system was here in alamy if you remember ... some primary keywords and then secondary and tertiary level keywords... i have been lazy enough to review the keywords 😛

Hello everyone, This is Saurabh from India. I have been shooting photos and videos for stock sites from long back (including Alamy) i think i started in 2012 but then due to different reasons i stopped uploading images/videos in Alamy and other sites from 2016 or so.. mainly due to being busy in my professional and personal life and also because it was cumbersome to take my dslr and lesnses + Tripods everywhere... but now i think i have been missing many great opportunities to capture many good subjects... so basically i want your suggestion if there is any smallest / pocket camera available these days in market which is acceptable as per Alamy standard also , a camera handy to carry in pocket, good image and video quality (even in low light/night), video stability ? Kindly provide me some insight... Thanking you in advance :)

I had similar experience few years back when I went to a local zoo with my family which is a public place. I was recently shifted to this place in India. I had a telephoto lense and prime lens for my dslr. Me and my father were resting under a shed. My mother and wife went to washroom and were coming back to us from the distance so I wanted to take their photos of walking towards us while some zoo wild animals behind them. I didn't realise that a group of adult girls were enjoying in the swing in between And my camera was directed towards them as my family was walking far behind them in same axis. Suddenly one guy who was friend of those girls came to me and started shouting at me that how I could take those girls pix. I was shocked as I didn't even realise what's the matter. I tried to convince him that I was not taking photo of girls but he was already mad at me. Then I had to show him images of my mother and wife walking in my camera and finally he calmed down as he didn't find images of those girls. Fhewww.. I then decided to pay attention to near by people and objects while taking photos and preferably take photo of family and friends only when there are no other stranger around

Yes Jill. I have already chosen that option. Actually some of (few) images were licensed as RM when I was in some other agency also (at that time alamy had no exclusivity option). I have left that agency long back but still not sure if any of my images are still being used by its buyers. I don't remember exactly but some RM images were licensed for long period. I don't want that alamy find those uses as infringement. My be the other option for infringement check should work.

What about the images which have been licensed in the past from some other agency but now only available for sale on alamy..? Can we tag such images as exclusive and if yes then will it create any problem for alamy infringement search?

Probably because I have some old tyre collections to upload 😂😂

This thread is so inspiring. I used to get sales literally for anything in 2013-14 which no one could have even imagined.. but it seems alamy can sell anything even in 2021. Gonna search my hard disk for old stuffs
