  1. Hi All, We are aware there's an issue with the Portfolio Pages not displaying images in the order as originally intended. We recently enabled the ability to sort by oldest / newest when performing contributor/pseudonym searches. However, this appears to have unintentionally impacted the portfolio page. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and we are looking to resolve the issue asap to get things back to normal for these pages. Thanks Sophie
  2. Hi All, We've reported this to our IT team, and once we receive an update we will let you know. Thanks, Alamy.
  3. Hi Allan, Ideally the images would need to be completely monochrome. Thanks, Chantelle
  4. Hi Everyone, Thanks for all of your entries this month! Check out the final lightbox to see if any of your entries made it - https://www.alamy.com/search/lightbox/5581006.html Thanks, Louise
  5. Hi All, With a world full of saturated images we wanted to take a step back and appreciate the narrative and emotions that monochrome photographs can convey. Do you have images which showcase the beauty within black and white imagery? If you haven't been involved with Alamy Photo of the Month yet, the theme for April is #AlamyMonochrome, so why not join in? Be inspired: https://www.alamy.com/search/lightbox/5598321.html From portraiture to wildlife, we want to see it all. At the beginning of May we'll share our favourites with you and also our customers. Thanks, Chantelle
  6. Hi Alex, Would you mind forwarding the email thread from the infringer to us at contributors@alamy.com so we can make our infringements team aware of this? Thanks, Louise
  7. Hi, Please can you drop us an email about this at contributors@alamy.com, and we'll be happy to help you. Thanks, Louise
  8. Hi All, From 29th of March to the 2nd of April it's a bank holiday here in the UK. This means response times from contributor relations and the quality control team will be longer than usual. Please bear with us and we will respond to your queries next week. Have a great Easter break! Thanks, Alamy
  9. In alignment with our new ways of moderating the forum, we're locking this topic at it's not photography related. Thanks Alamy
  10. Hi Everyone, Thanks for all your comments about the non-photography related threads being closed. It's good to get your feedback, and we do understand about why the 'good thing/bad thing' threads were set up in the first instance which was during the pandemic where there was a need for different kind of support. We're glad this has added to the sense of community within the Alamy forum over the past four years and hope this will continue. We are a small team who monitor the forum so please don't let us closing these threads be misread as 'not mattering', but with some recent postings having to be taken down, and the work we are looking to do in other areas behind the scenes, which need more of our time, we saw it as a point to re-focus our efforts back in to monitoring the photography related posts (which as mentioned was the original intent of the forum). We have no issue with friendly exchange within the threads even if it isn't always completely related to the main post, and we've always tried to keep a hands-off approach to allow free expression in your own individual style. However, we do always have to be conscious of the forum guidelines and take action sometimes. With this being said, and for the reasons given in the other threads, I hope this adds some clarity and understanding about the reasons why it was necessary to call time on these two threads and close them. In the meantime, feel free to feedback any comments you have in 'The Forum' section with any suggestions for improvements of the forum, and we'll always do our best to support you where we can, either here or through our email support. Thanks Sophie
  11. The problem is that recently they were not just 'the tiniest bit off brand', they were veering into the considerably damaging to the brand and needing resource to moderate. We agree it was a shame they had to close. Alamy.
  12. Hi Everyone, We’ve taken the decision to shut down this thread because we feel the conversation is not relevant to the Alamy Forum. We realise this may be disappointing to some of you, but the Alamy Forum was originally set up for photographers to discuss photography and all things Alamy, where photographers could offer support and advice to fellow contributors, and where we could provide clarity and a quick response on any developments to keep you informed. Unfortunately, we no longer have the resource to monitor a thread in the Forum that isn’t about Alamy or photography-related subjects in general. We think it would be more important to be helping contributors with their queries in the inbox, curating content to present to our customers to drive sales, running the POTM competition and chasing infringements amongst many other projects. By all means, feel free to express yourself when replying to each other, whilst adhering to the Forum guidelines, however, the thread for a main subject needs to generally stay to the topic and in keeping with the original reasons for the Alamy Forum. Thanks Alamy

  14. We've just removed an entire page of irrelevant posts that veered into subjects not suitable for an officially branded stock photography forum. Please stick to the forum rules, or we will have no choice but to remove this entirely. Thank you Alamy
  15. You don't HAVE to add the Alamy image ID but it helps us greatly if you can, as we can much more efficiently add lots of your entries by copy/pasting the ID! 🙏 Thanks for all your entries so far! Louise
