Sorry: this is probably getting a little boring now, (I know that many have had similar licenses) but...how can this unlimited use, unlimited duration license be defined as RM?

Country: Worldwide
Usage: iQ sale: Single company - multiple use editorial only
Industry sector: Media, design & publishing
Start: 24 June 2016
Duration: Unlimited for duration of licence

I was unaware that "RM" has some sort of official and industry-wide definition. Am I wrong about this?

No.  Alamy have their definition.

Perhaps I wasn't being too clear.

The image concerned falls under their default definition of RM, as it is of a well-known building with no property release and I have therefore set it as such.  The license however seems to fall under their definition of RF: "[an] image with no restrictions on how they use it, or how long they use it for"

I had two of these sales with the same description as above show up last week.  I was a  bit confused by the description as I thought RM by definition wasn't for multiple uses for an unlimited duration.

I had one of those last week too.  I was a bit confused by the wording but consoled by the fact that at least it was a better price than many have been this month (still not enough though IMO).

They seem to make the rules up as they go along to fit in with whatever the client demands.

Geoff.

I'd say that is definitely the case. I don't think that Alamy has much choice in the matter these days.

At least these flexible "hybrid" sales are keeping some semblance of the RM licensing model alive. It does make for some pretty confusing licensing terms, though.
