Just had a look at your portfolio and found you found you have misspelled Piccadilly Circus. KF9CKX ;-)

Doh! Thanks for that Vpics - much appreciated.  Its not like it wasn't spelt out large enough in the photo :)

I just tried it and found it no problems. I right clicked on the image in the Guardian, Search Google with this image, scroll down the results to the bottom of the page. There are two results on Alamy, one horizontal and one vertical pic.

Gen, You make it sound so easy. I'm going to have a go and see if I can replicate.

Search Alamy for "thriller jamie shaftesbury avenue". Yours are the only results.

Spacecadet - There was me thinking it was more sophisticated than that. I thought you could right click on the image on the Guardian site and then use reverse image search or Tin Eye image search to take you directly to the related photo on Alamy. My misunderstanding. Never mind. Thanks anyway.

There are many roads to Rome!

Google reverse image search commonly works very well. An EXIF viewer can also be very useful (on rare occasions even the image code is retained)! The browser's in-built tools can also work very well (right click; view image details or similar). Using your own ideas as to what the tags may be, then searching on Alamy can also be a great aid in improving one's own keywording skills.

You can, as described above. Only it does not take you directly to Alamy, you have to click on the result corresponding to the Alamy hit.

Didn't it work for you?

I hadn't right clicked in this case but in fact that would have worked too. Google hasn't crawled every Alamy image but most of them are there.

Here is the catalog of 2018 calendars by Ackermann.

The search box within the catalog does not work for the credits, so you'll have to go through the catalog by hand.

(It's also impossible to read the credits with the naked eye.)

As far as I could tell the Alamy images are via distributor Mauritius, so not from the German office.

(At least mine was through Mauritius.)
