Buschkind
Hello Forum, Is it possible to download the own photos from Alamy (when photos were deleted on computer)? Buschkind
spacecadet
Odd that you don't have backups, but you could try asking MS. Of course you could only get what you uploaded.
Martin P Wilson
Speak to contributor relations but the downloads are likely to be quite compressed, probably to around 1Mb from experience.
Bill Brooks
Just a friendly tip Buschkind after taking a peep at your portfolio - Great images, but SO many similars, which will only harm your rank. Geoff. Wonderful images. I would echo Geoff’s advice. Shoot many images but cut back to one horizontal, one vertical, from each setup, and a possible third if the third shot is very different. Cut back to one bird flying, one of same bird landing, one of same bird fishing. Delete the rest. Not easy but make a choice, otherwise your home archives will be inundated with weaker images, and some good ones may become lost.
CM photo
Hello Forum, Is it possible to download the own photos from Alamy (when photos were deleted on computer)? Buschkind Do you mean deleted, or was there a hard drive failure? Deleted images can sometimes be recovered; I believe there are companies that specialise in this kind of thing. Try searching Google. Good luck.

Buschkind
Hello, thank you for all your replies. Photos are saved now. Regarding too many similar photos: I do not have so much experience, so am open for tips and suggestions for improvements. I think, the question is what is similar or different. In my opinion it depends how deep one look into the photo. Are there any points of references or something like that? To get better CTR what is recommendable? To upload fewer photos in future, I assume? Makes it sense to delete already uploaded images, also? By the way: From what CTR-number on is it good? Ed Rooney
Just a friendly tip Buschkind after taking a peep at your portfolio - Great images, but SO many similars, which will only harm your rank. Not easy but make a choice, otherwise your home archives will be inundated with weaker images, and some good ones may become lost. These are the answers to your CTR questions. You cannot control CTR directly. You raise your CTR by posting a variety of subjects, doing relevant keywording, and NOT submitting an endless amount of similar images. Also, it's your rank you want to improve; CTR changes every day: don't get obsessed with that number. You have 6,325 images on Alamy . . . but you have over 30 vertical similars on the pink flower your portfolio opens with. 6,325 divided by 30 = 210. And this is your pattern. You are shooting yourself in the foot, Buschkind. Good luck.
