That woodpecker makes me laugh.

Paulette

I gave him a Dafalgan afterwards   :P

Cheers,

Philippe

I had to look that one up... a Tylenol here. I'd have preferred a Percoset but maybe it would make him too happy to do his hard work on the hardwood.

These woodpeckers are vicious creatures. I know there are a couple at a nearby lake, yet I did not get any decent picture yet.

They only spend a few seconds on each tree hopping around it at almost light speed.

Really admire Philippes picture and even more since I know how hard they seem to be to get.

Woodpecker. I had forgotten.

And that one from the same trip. It was great fun sitting on the sledge. It's real blur, not a post-processing effect.

Zoomed but not sold as yet.

Degree of care required here. Only a proportion of shots get looked at by QC, so it doesn't necessarily follow that any "passed" image, would stand future scrutiny. However I  believe that common sense applies, and shots which obviously use blur or limited depth of field for effect should be fine.

Blurry images, maybe revive this thread as it gives a good idea how far images appear acceptable by QC?

One of my favorite recent uploads is the the arc below.

Picture taken in bad light conditions inside at F1.4, 1/100s, 800 ISO, DoF is only a centimeter or so

My take on the blurry train theme:

Wish I could have gotten more blur on this one, but I was shooting handheld:

I had only a moment to shoot this and the autofocus locked on the birds not the plane, but with hindsight I'm glad it did:

This Is Sadie with the balls in her mouth and Bear who sadly is no longer with us, but was smart enough to stay out of Sadie's way when she was chasing a ball.
