In fact, I am astonished at how good this combination is for IQ and AF and it has stopped me getting the new 80-400 in the future. More than acceptable on my Micro-Nikkors - 105/2.8 VR and 200/4 - IQ is pretty good; I manually focus these lenses anyway. Less than acceptable on my 500/4 VRII. Interestingly, the AF works well in spite of it now being a 1000/8. IQ is noticeably soft though. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
