  1. Who will celebrate first?
  2. Nothing sold yet?!

Greetings forum This is my first post and also small question. I don't know what I m doing wrong but I haven't sold anything yet.I am very patient and I am contributor for almost two years at Alamy but still nothing happens.I have tagged all may pictures and having occasionally views but hardly any sale. Is this a bad luck or my portfolio really sucks?
  3. How to make big sales?

I see a lot of people talking about have sold a picture for $100, $200 and so on. I was wondering, how can I sale my pictures for more then only $0,90?
  4. Hello everyone, First of all I'd like to thank you for your attention, your patience and your comments about my doubts. I am a newbie here, created an account about more than 1 month ago and uploaded a lot of photos (over 600). QC it´s been very successful, most of the pictures have been fast accepted and ready to be sold BUT, at the moment, I have sold NOTHING. I mean, it is not like I am expecting to be rich, but something testimonial. Same portfolio works in other places about 20 dwls/month (I am newbie too), so I thought, Alamy would be more or less in the same line. I am also putting efforts on keywording, taking care of it, of course, but I do not know why my portfolio is not working. By the way, here it is: http://de.alamy.com/search/imageresults.aspx?pseudoid={97BE7DBE-DA15-4B73-BC7A-4B8569C16A25}&name=Lobro&st=11&mode=0&comp=1 I´d be veeeeery happy to hear from you guys, from your advices and experiences. Thanks in advance Lobro
  5. Wildlife as RM or RF

hi all, i'm wondering how to setup my wildlife images, if better RM or RF. Animals in general are something which sold better as RM (low volume/high sales) or as RF (high volumes) ? I know every picture is different, so which considerations do you make in order to select the above? 1) Generic image (RF) or more specific image (lion closeup VS lion at the zoo for i.e.) 2) Background which could affect the category (beach portrait VS indoor portrait for i.e.) 3) Selective focus (RF images are often with a larger depth of field) 4) ... what else? thanks in advance
  6. Although I'm not that new to Alamy, I'm new to the forum and new to receiving some money from stock sales. I have been sporadic with adding images as I wasn't sure if I had what I classed as newsworthy items, so wasn't sure how it all works and I hadn't seen or looked at the forum. I had three small sales in 2013 and two last year, the last one, which ended up being cancelled, but then bought again, so I received some money in January 2015, as my balance was finally over $75. The same day the money went in my account I had a new sale, (just below the limit) and I also discovered the forum and the "Have you found any Alamy Photographs?", which I didn't understand, until I searched for the photograph that was sold and couldn't find it, I then asked Alamy, who told me the info was in the sale! Whilst trying to find this image on Monday, I found a new image of mine in The Sunday Times, which although it had been zoomed, I wasn't aware it was sold and I still haven't been told by Alamy (and I emailed them Tuesday morning), As I posted my find and mentioned this in the "have you found...?" A number of answers appeared from some of the members. Therefore, I have started this thread so I can glean some more information from members? I understand now that news sales don't always get mentioned, (due to the way the industry works) which isn't a great help, but like this new image that was sold, I have had other images zoomed, could they have been sales? Can this apply in book sales, or other media outlets, or just newspapers? Also, how can I help with "Have you found...?" thread, and if Lynne or Julie Edwards want to tell me more please do, as we are now off the "Have you found...." topic Thanks in advance
  7. NERC

That's the 'Natural Environment Research Council' (UK). Just as a matter of interest, this could be a location to note down as a search for licensed images. They publish a monthly spreadsheet of their spending (listing on their website going back to April 2010). Unfortunately, the spreadsheets don't contain togs names, just details of amounts paid monthly to Alamy, so I guess it's down to a search of their Website or their publications. Just a quickie to start - from the Planet Earth Winter edition 2013 (link to pdf) The full archive listings for the planet Earth mag. (back to 2008) are here. 8. Hi everybody, Has it happen to you already to sell pictures that were never previously zoomed by clients ? It happened to me and I find it strange, I wouldn't buy a picture without looking carefull at it before. Thank your for your insight
  9. Hi everyone. I am relatively new here. I joined around April this year. After a few weeks I had my first sale for a total of $134, and since then nothing. I have also noticed that the amount of zooms I am getting is very low. This month so far 0! For you more experienced contributors, what am I doing wrong? It may also be nothing, but I would really appreciate some advice. http://www.alamy.com/stock-photography/C2D9A136-7CF6-4E3E-916A-A8BFE487D575/Stephen%20Allen.html Thanks for your help, I think I need all I can get Steve
