  2. August Picture Series

Purpose: series of 6-9 images which tell a story or cover a specific destination / happening. Little tip: think a few months ahead to allow magazine editors plenty of time to prepare articles with - hopefully - your pictures, which could relate to an upcoming event or occurrence. Other months' picture series. See here The 44th COUPE ICARE (Icarus cup), the world’s greatest free flight encounter (aerial demos, masquerade flights, hot air balloons, remote control aircrafts…), will take place in St Hilaire du Touvet - Lumbin from September 21-24, 2017. 3. First of all a BIG thank you to all who voted for my lightning picture For this monthly challenge, you'll have to act as photographer, picture researcher as well as editor because I want you to come up with a suitable image for a TRAVEL MAGAZINE COVER What I'm looking for: maximum 3 pictures that represent a city / region / country (please name the location ) vertical orientation only (you are allowed to make a vertical crop from a horizontal image and upload that new image. It doesn't have to be in the Alamy archive) must have "free" room (copy space) on top for a masthead (magazine name) and along one of the sides for coverlines (contents summary) See example below. Of course, there are many ways of designing a cover page and rules are meant to be broken, but this "editor-for-a-day" is looking for a rather straightforward, traditional layout. 8 images will be shortlisted by me at the end of the month Entries close at 23:59:59 GMT on August 31 Winner will have to start the September Challenge with a subject of his/her choice. Ladies & gentlemen ........ good luck! Cheers, Philippe
