Dropped my workhourse Nikon D90

Recommended Posts

Hi folks....

The enemy of the camera, the road, claimed another victim. The aperture button on the body of my trusty D90 is now faulty and I am taking it to repair. Maybe they can fix it for a relatively reasonable fee but I also see that I can buy a new body for a reasonable cost which may be the better option. Now my nimble fingers see that I can buy a D3200 for the same price, get more pixels but the beginner tag really floors me. Now I am really confused... Will the D3200 be able to hold my weighty 18-200 zoom?

As far using my camera for stock, I haven't uploaded for a long time and what is there is ticking over sales. I am not sure I will use the camera for stock but I got so used to always shooting to meet alamy QC I would be loathed to shoot anything less.

all the best

Hi Ed... The D90 is going quite cheap new so I am considering that or for the same price the D3200. It's just on all the promotional blurb it has the D3200 as an entry level but when I read all the reviews and comparrisons it looks pretty good and very tempting. It is also very light which being a bit of an old gal, has its appeal. But it may just be a bit of plastic.

cheers
