Finding upload date?

11 posts in this topic

Is there a way of finding out the upload date of an image using the new Alamy image manager or by other means?

It's gotta be there somewhere...

Can't see one except by looking through all the images.  No problems finding an individual image but it doesn't give you the upload ref or date.

Can't answer the question, sorry.
I'd also like a way to see the original file name which I uploaded. It used to be visible next to the ALAMY ref.

Mick, Alamy said they will fix it but not quickly.

Is there anything fixed yet?

  • Tags able to drag to other positions >> still not possible  >> proximity is important but you don't give us the possiblility to drag tags into the right position
  • Possibility to show tags as normal words / phrases separated by commas (as is possible at Pond5) >> gives us the possibility to easy copy/paste text and make corrections
  • Button to remove all tags of one particular image >> still not possible >> extremely annoying to add tags when dealing with all those duplicate tags so you end up with loads more than the 50-tag-limit
  • Our original file name >> still not visible  >> important for us to look up images in our personal archive
  • etc.....

Cheers,

Philippe

I haven't seen any improvement whatsoever either Philippe. After 3 months, one does wonder what's going on.

Guess Alamy doesn't care about our problems. I can't believe it takes rocket science to make those adjustments.

Cheers,

Whilst not a perfect solution, the upload date shows in the left hand panel under "My Submissions" - if you've a reasonable idea of when it might have been, you can usually find the date of a specific image in a minute or two.
Same goes for the original file name, not an ideal method by any means - but it shows up on the main opening screen, though not on the screen pertaining to a single image.

As I said, not perfect solutions in either case, but workable until a bunch of fixes comes along ....
