List of Alamy clients/distributors/buyers publicly available?

I am new and currently shifting from microstock to focusing primarily on Alamy submissions.  At the same time I have shifted to street photography primarily based on travel.  My question is.....is there a list publicly available of the clients/buyers/distributors associated with Alamy? For example, does National Geographic or The Guardian or whatever other publications out there have a relationship with Alamy? I would love to look at said publications to see what stories are being written thus gearing my photography towards similar genres/topics.  I don't know if this is proprietary information but I thought it would be worth asking.

There is a distributors list somewhere, I know it was posted on the forum the other day.  There is not a buyers list, but if you check out the monthly threads on "Have you found any alamy photos", you will notice a lot of common buyers.

Jill...thank you for the response.  I have seen those postings about the "Have you found any Alamy photos" and I will pay more attention to them.  One other issue I didn't indicate was that I am based in the US and know that Alamy is more UK-centric.  This was part of why I asked the question but failed to put it in my initial posting.  Thanks again for the reply

You do not get such detailed information about your RM sales, but a general information about the use ( - but for RF images no information).

Most uses and information are found by "intelligent" and "creative" searches - Google word search and Google Image Search for example.

If you would like to see to what degree National Geographic uses Alamy as an image source - this word search may help you

-> national geographic alamy -"alamy.com" <-

(the -"alamy.com" is necessary as you otherwise will get all the results from alamy, as well). You may also find from where else this magazine gets its images.

Various image searches (like Google Image search plugin or other) - can sometimes find the use of a used or sold image, but not as easy as it has been.

The "Have you found any Alamy photos" thread is a great source of information - and many photographers do an excellent, unpaid and sometimes unrewarded job to report images seen in use - but mostly from the UK and sometimes other main newspapers.

I really hate that you can't see who your customers are. I just saw that I have sold two images of Zara Larsson to a Swedish magazine but there’s no information about the customer. I publish my clients on my website and I would like to buy a copy of the magazine. I have asked Alamy for help and I hope the magazine appears on the web soon so I can google it.

The difference is that they are your clients. Buyers here are Alamy's clients. The age-old problem for the middleman is to remain in the middle.

Here's a list. Probably outdated.

 

NatGeo is not on the list, but I can confirm they are a client. Several of mine have ended up somewhere on their website or in one of their magazines.

 

Otherwise Google is your friend: use something like: Alamy site:nationalgeographic.com or alamy site:cntraveler.com or alamy site:traveldk.com or alamy site:trvl.com.

All these websites have a search function of course, however they may not include captions or bylines.
