Archaeo Posted March 10, 2017 Share Posted March 10, 2017 Having problems with the date taken field in the new IM. With the old system I normally only entered the year for date taken. These still show up correctly in search results for "legacy images" & as January 1st in the IM. However, I can see no way to just enter the year for new submissions, also seems impossible to remove a date once entered. I would have thought this should be any easy problem to fix... I can enter a 20th Century date but it reverts to March 2017. Fortunately I have the year in my caption and keywords. So far AIM seems to read the EXIF or IPTC from digital images just fine so that hasn't been an issue for me. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

"Year only" is evidently no longer available so your method is now essential- a search on date won't return your images unless the date taken is in the keywords.
