Can you please help me with the IDs for the following?

  1. think the first one might be lenticularis.  Am I correct?  Any other names I can add?
  2. What are the 2nd and the 3rd one?

Thanks in advance.

1) Looks like Altocumulus lenticularis forming a "pile d'assiettes" (french for heap of dishes)

2 & 3) No idea

Cheers,

Philippe

Merci, Phillippe.  Ablsolutely no idea (2&3) either...

Looks to me like cumulonimbus on top and altocumulus lenticularis in the bottom two.

Thank you, Ed.  Are 2&3 altocumulus lenticularis, too?

"The bottom two" means #2 and #3, no? It's hard to be positive about IDing clouds because they are always morphing from one type into another.

Hi Ed & Russell

I trawled through internet images today.  As Ed suggested earlier, the bottom two look like altocumulus lentilcularis.

Thanks

Sung
