October 2016 Challenge - River

MDM

Recommended Posts

A simple theme for October's challenge - River. Anything goes as long as a river forms a major element of the picture: big rivers, mountain streams, river valleys, gorges, bridges, boats etc.

The usual rules apply: 3 pictures per contibutor, pictures on Alamy, competition closes on Oct 31 at midnight.

I prefer to see the pictures large for maximum impact so please post big if possible.

Here are a few of my own river pics.

I was in Kenya in 2009 when they were having a terrible drought. There wasn't enough water in this river to carry off the waste of the hippos.....

Hmmm, first timer here. How do I add images to a post here? Tried dragging and dropping (jpegs) and each time I get the following message...
"You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community."

Do i need to upload these somewhere, then use a URL?
What am I doing, or more correctly, not doing?

Thanks in advance!

Find your image in the main collection by searcing on the Alamy reference, click on it if you want the larger version, right click and copy image. Paste into the reply box. Put in a couple of carriage returns to separate them.
