It could just mean the the QC team are a bit slow at the moment but it could also signify a fail. You'll just have to be patient, possibly for a month if it's a fail.

thanks Geoff,

that is what is funny, for the moment, I had no fails, and I do upload quite often too,

well, I guess I have to be patient.

thanks anyway

I'm not sure if it's worth pointing out that it's a bank holiday weekend and schools are out for half-term break..? So Alamy are possibly a little short handed over the last couple of days. I have Stockimo images waiting to be approved/rejected which I uploaded 2 days ago... So it might just be a case of needing to be a little patient.

Lots of us have had images pass QC on Saturday morning, we called it the Saturday club but that was for uploads done by the end of Friday. I'm not sure it is still happening.

Today i came here to start the same thread and found i'm not alone  :(

I'm wondering if this slowness could be due to a new ranking algorithm which some people have been impacted more than others.

No. Ranking has nothing to do with QC.

What he may mean is that Alamy may have some system whereby your rank determines how fast your images go through the QC process.

I think it's unlikely, but it's been said more than once before that there maybe a connection with how regularly you upload. So there could be an algorithm of some kind that sorts contributor's batches in a certain order, possibly relating to how often you upload as well as rank. As Alamy don't tell us this sort of information it's all guesswork.

Geoff.

I really don't see how Alamy Rank can influence QC speed as AR is based on pseudos.  I have several pseudos all with very different ARs so which would Alamy choose or would they take an average?

Agree with Pearl.

I'm not sure if frequent uploads influence anything, but I feel they do. The past year I've been uploading on a regular basis and my images are found pretty high in searches. Many on the first page. My zooms are 4X what they used to be, Yet my sales are only ok.

Most certainly can't say if any of those facts influence rapid or slow QC, though. I don't seem to be punished with slow QC after a fail. Witnessed by 208 images going through in under 12 hours coming off a fail.
