Jacob Y
Hello all, I was trying to upload pics to aterras "favorite pictures that you have uploaded may 2016" but can't figure out how to do it. I tried bringing up my media and it said to pick which category to share but none came up. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Jacob Y.
Kumar
If I understand yr query correctly : 1. Click-enlarge your Alamy image that you want to post.2. Click-preview for a bigger image3. Right-click & copy the preview image4. Right-click & paste it you forum postCheers
Ed Rooney
To post one of my Alamy images in a forum thread, I open a second window with my collection and drag and drop the image I want into the forum. The windows have to be a little off center to one another. It takes a bit of practice.
Kumar
Simple copy & paste of the 'preview' image !
fotoDogue
I use a slightly different method. Right click on the image to "copy image address" Click on the image icon in the message menu which causes a box to appear Paste the image address into the box Enable HTML in the "more reply options" Change the number in "pixel width" to adjust the size down to 800 px. Preview and if all looks good, post.
NYCat
FotoDogue seems to have provided a way to get exactly the size you want. I must try it next time since Philippe's method gives me a slightly smaller size than I like. Thank you. Paulette
Ed Rooney
With drag and drop, the size of the image depend on where you take the image from. By the way, Paulette, stone lions have never attacked a photographer. They are only dangerous if they fall over on you.
Ed Rooney
This little image was a D&D from a zoom in My Alamy.
NYCat
My drag and drop pictures turn out to be the enormous size that I don't find good for viewing in the forum no matter where I take them from. it seems to have something to do with my computer. NYCat
I am trying this today and find I can't get "More Reply Options" until I click OK and that shows me a too big image. Then I go ahead with enabling HTML and changing the width to 800 but I get a squished image because I don't know how much to change the height to. Probably I should know this. Paulette I only use width ( and delete height) because I don't know the exact proportions and I'm too lazy to figure it out. This may confuse some browsers and result in a distorted image but most browsers figure out the corresponding height.
NYCat
Thanks. I'll try deleting the height next time. Paulette
