mickfly
Is there a way to make your most 'punchy' image appear as the thumbnail for a batch of News/Weather pictures when uploading?
fotoDogue
I believe the first photo uploaded is usually the one that appears at the top of the stack, in Live News, though the Live News Team may modify that.
Sultanpepa
I don't think so but if I'm not mistaken Alamy sales normally select best image. I've got no definitive knowledge of this but my own experience would suggest they do.
mickfly
They've changed mine on previous occasions, but on my last upload they left the most boring (perhaps I should have dumped it?) as the thumbnail, so I was just asking if there was a way to do it myself and had considered it may just be the first one.On the day in question there were about 40 single images uploaded by someone with no headline or caption flooding the feed, so maybe the team had their hands full! Since I'm 5 hours behind, in New York, I usually upload way past business hours and this is how it seems to sort out for me.
Phil Robinson
I usually put what I think is the best image into the upload list first, then add the others, and they appear in the order you upload them. But yes, Alamy often change the front image, and sometimes titles, when they review them.
