February Challenge: The Blue Hour - Dawn and Dusk

Thanks again to everyone who voted for me in the January Challenge. This was a fabulous surprise and it has lifted my spirits.

The February Challenge is "The Blue Hour - Dawn and Dusk"

To quote wikipedia: "The blue hour is the period of twilight during dawn each morning and dusk each evening when the sun is a significant distance below the horizon and the residual, indirect sunlight takes on a predominantly blue hue."

The rules:

  • no sunsets (some orange afterglow in the sky is fine as long as there's also some blue in it)
  • no black skies
  • 3 images / photographer
  • challenge ends last day of the month
  • winner has to start the next challenge

Here are some examples:

Good luck everyone.

Thanks Allan - but more to the point, I don't own a colour camera!

Love this challenge - my favorite time of day to photograph. Reminds me that I have many more photos to process and add to Alamy. Great choice for a challenge! Tough competition already!
