vpics
Thanks again to everyone who voted for me in the January Challenge. This was a fabulous surprise and it has lifted my spirits. The February Challenge is "The Blue Hour - Dawn and Dusk". To quote wikipedia: "The blue hour is the period of twilight during dawn each morning and dusk each evening when the sun is a significant distance below the horizon and the residual, indirect sunlight takes on a predominantly blue hue." The rules: no sunsets (some orange afterglow in the sky is fine as long as there's also some blue in it) no black skies 3 images / photographer challenge ends last day of the month winner has to start the next challenge Here are some examples: Hope you like it. Good luck everyone.

wiskerke
This is really difficult. Can I has 30? In the end a very personal choice: stuff near where I grew up; have lived and where I live now. Amsterdam Canal near where I was born - 0.3 miles / 500 meter Haarlem Windmill near where I live-1mile / 1600 meters The White House near where we used to live in DC - 0.5 miles / 800 meter wim edit: distances to front door.
