upload problems

Recommended Posts

Yes, and yesterday. The first four appeared in track your submissions yesterday - the later uploaded 4-5 have not appeared. Tried with one again today - still no appearance. Now I am curious whether any approving of the images may update the list.

I have just tried the FTP upload - it seems to work with a little, but quite expected, waiting time for the upload to turn up. I would have written that I would use the FTP upload only from now on - until I read Russell's post...

I tried to upload twice in the past eighteen hours, my submission vanished both times. Is it time to contact Member Services yet?

This happened to me last week. I uploaded on Thursday night, and the submission disappeared. Checked Friday morning and there it was "Awaiting QC." It passed on Monday. My uneducated guess is that the system gets overloaded, which ain't surprising.

The ones that didn't turn up have not been cleared - the ones on the track your submissions list have passed. I uploaded a batch yesterday (Monday) evening via FTP - they are on the list awaiting QC now.

If the images are not listed after 20 hours I would risk a new upload - in my opinion the FTP route seems more reliable now.

Must be the day of the week

There's clearly something wrong. Mine still haven't shown - 20 hours now. The issue is whether or not to try again. A comment from Alamy would help!

+1

I uploaded on Sunday evening via the website and via FTP. Neither attempt is showing in Track Submissions yet.

Maybe it is only a problem with one uploading route/machine as I uploaded over the past few days with images through as usual the following day.

The last two successful submissions haven't been accompanied by an email alert.

But the Measures problem has yet to be resolved.

I checked with Member Services and they could find no trace of yesterday's submission. So I resubmitted and half an hour after the FTP completion they appeared as awaiting QC.

Who knows what happened to the originals. I just hope they don't now turn up as a duplicate set.

Me too, I uploaded 20 by normal web route on Monday Morning at 9:30 am.   The upload appeared to go absolutely as normal.  I checked at 1530 and nothing was showing on "Track Submissions".  I then  e-mailed MS,

and they replied this morning to say that nothing had been received.

Uploaded a trial batch of 5 at 12:30 today.  Usually the upload appears on "Track Submissions" immediately after it has completed.   This time - nothing.   However after about half an hour the  5 did appear on "Track Submissions".

I am glad it is not just me!

I am preparing images now, and will try another upload shortly.

Still more trouble.  After an upload of 20 on Monday 12th, that never appeared.   I e-mailed MS and asked them to check if they had been received.  On 13th I received a reply saying that they had not.

So on Tuesday 13th I uploaded 5 as a test.  The 5 took some time to appear but eventually came to "Awaiting QC".   I then uploaded a further 22 images and these went through to "Awaiting QC"

So last evening I had the following:

Top Line            13th   22 Images "Awaiting QC"

Second Line      13th     5  Images  "Awaiting QC"

This morning it reads:

Top Line          14th   25 Images "Processing"

Second Line    13th    22 Images  "Awaiting QC"

How can this be??

I have e-mailed MS to enquire.
