Kathy deWitt
Good news folks: I just had an email from "Alamy Infringements" checking on a possible illegal image use of a photo which is a good multiple seller. I confirmed it was only on Alamy with no direct licenses. This is the first email I've had of this type but maybe more will follow? Kathy

Phil Robinson
Yes, me too. Fingers crossed. And I hope they charge proper punitive infringement-type fees rather than just getting them to license the usage retrospectively. Calculator price as a MINIMUM. David Davies
I also had one, good to see ALAMY tightening up on security!
Phil Robinson
After I was contacted about a possible infringement, I sent details of another image that has appeared all over the net. It has just popped up as a sale. Coincidence?
Julesimages
I didn't get an e mail but did get cash in my account relating to an infringement - the first - well done Alamy - keep it up. And I have another pic that is everywhere that I will inform them of now.
spacecadet
Was the amount consistent with the calculator, or more, or was it the usual highly discounted amount?
Phil Robinson
Is it made clear in the report that the sale comes from an infringement?
Jools Elliott
Thanks for posting this. I had an email from them but it was actually back in April! I'd be curious to know how long they take to sort these things.
Cryptoprocta
Wow. I haven't had an email, but this is a very welcome change in policy.
jonnyab
Interesting I just had a $45 (net) payment pop into my account on 29th It says: Description- other income Detail- Infringement- web use - no details on which file. Very happy as I guess this equates to a $90 sale. Keep going Alamy a few more of them and it might take a chunk out of what people try and steal.
