Ozan Posted March 28, 2015 Share Posted March 28, 2015 When I check my measures, I often see searches that the searcher only viewed 90 photos and did not zoom any of them, and these searches affect our CTR. These searches do not seem to be serious to me. Is there a plan to put a threshold for the number of photos viewed before affecting CTR with some exceptions (if the customer zoomed a photo or there are less photos than the threshold) ? Armstrong Posted March 30, 2015 Share Posted March 30, 2015 Not all sales are zoomed So those 90 images viewed could have generated sales which would indicate a serious search. As for CTR it could be that the search term brought a page of irrelevant results, meaning the searcher put in a different search term next. This could be either because of the search term or that the images returned were key-worded with irrelevant terms. If I was going to give advice--which I'm not because I've not been asked--but if I was, it would be to concentrate on the images you take and the keywords of the images you've taken, as that will have an actual effect on licenses sold . . . speculating about how serious an anonymous search may or may not be won't. dd Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

In measures, for each search, they tabulate an "all of Alamy" ctr as well as a pseudonym ctr so for all we know this may already be taken into account somehow. ... looking for a "shrugging shoulders" smiley. I'm very interested in my placement, and that seems OK. Checking where my image of "small change" shows up, I found it on Page One of 100 pages.
