News to Stock lag time?

Recommended Posts

Do photos in live news go immediately into one's regular stock portfolio after the 48 hours has passed?  I know that's where they end up, but I'm wondering if they disappear from customer's view for a time when they make the transition.

I uploaded some live news images the day before yesterday (Sunday).  I saw them in the Live News feed, but this afternoon (Tuesday) I couldn't find them.  I did a general search for them in the Alamy search box, and then through the Live News.  I couldn't find them through either.

I haven't noticed nor looked out for this delay in the past. Have you taken a look in your your own images ready collection in Manage Images? Normally you get an e-mail telling you to keyword them, presumably this has happened?

The only time this happened to me was when the News team decided that the images were not sufficiently newsworthy. Although they appeared on the news feed for a while ((over a weekend) they were then moved to the normal QC queue (fortunately they passed).

It might be worth looking at "Track my submissions"

Thanks for your answers.  My news images did seem to disappear from searches for a short time, even though I had fully keyworded them, and completed the attributes section etc. I could see them in Manage Images as "ready".   But they did eventually appear again and are in my regular stock port,  so all is well.

I uploaded eight news images on Sunday and they appeared in my general collection on Tuesday or Wed. (can't remember which). Perhaps you should e-mail member services.

Thanks John, I see you were at the parade too!   :)

My images did show up in my port a few hours after my original post, so everything is fine now.

Yes, I arrived there late and couldn't find any good vantage points, so I ended up photographing spectators for the most part. You got some really nice shots of the dancers BTW. We probably passed each other in the throng without even knowing it.
