Mmm. I love that one!

This competition has been open less than half a day and already there are too many winners.

Thanks, so do I. I discovered I have not put it on Alamy for some reason.

I don't think we should include piers. The essence of a bridge is that it connects two sides of a gap.

Besides, we've already made Allesandro's job of choosing the shortlist far too difficult as it is.

Maybe we could have a separate competition for piers later?

I was going to try a close-up of my guitar bridge, just to be clever, but I doubt that would win any prizes.  I'm working on some images of a new bridge in Ottawa, so I'll just add one now:

Hello Ace, can you post the actual image on the forum. Makes it easier for the person running the competition.

Love that picture, know it well but never lit like that.

Cheers Martin, I've been to the Durham Lumiere a few times and tried various things, but that particular shot remains my favourite.

Maybe it's just fond memories of the past, but I've not found the event to be quite as appealing on the last couple of occasions. They appear to expend  most of the effort on the (admittedly excellent) son et lumiere at the cathedral, possibly resulting in the neglect of the other attractions.
