The quote I disliked most was from one of Getty's counsel team: "I hope he (Morel, the photographer) enjoys his notoriety" - as if he's won for the celebrity of it all. In reality, he fought as the David against the industry Goliaths for nearly 4 years which, for those taking on even the smallest infringement claims know, that is a long period of sleepless nights.

The pictures were extraordinary and the Big Boys thought they could wipe the floor with what they considered to be a developing world photographer and his hick legal team so good luck to him. He plans to invest his payout in local work and to tell the story about his fight against copyright crime.

As Alex says, EPUK (and the blogger Jeremy Nicholl) gave excellent accounts throughout the case. Background here: http://bit.ly/IeU1D1
