  1. Hi Folks, first of all, hello to everyone! I am quite new to selling images on stock sites with only a tiny portfolio yet. My first submissions went through quite easily and fast, it only took about one day for each submission. Yesterday i submitted several batches, from only one image in a submission, to about 5-6 per submission. What i found weird was that the first submission yesterday had 3 images, from which 2 passed in about 3 minutes. After that i uploaded more images in 5 submissions, sometimes containing 1 image, sometimes 3. this morning i saw that the 3rd image in the 1st submission failed. And also all other submissions after that failed too. I dont understand. 1. Did all submissions fail because of that one image that failed from the first submission yesterday? 2. How can 2 images of a 3-image-submission not fail, be on sale now, while the 3rd image fails although Alamy writes: if one image of the submission fails, all of that submission fails. 3. Does that mean, that one failing image in one submission leads to the failure of every submission happening after the initial submission prior to rejection or does it mean there were at least one failing image in every submission? 4. If a failing image only influences the other images in that submission, not other submissions after that, wouldnt it be smart to only include 1 imager per submission? 5. How can i see now which was the "faulty" image? I hope i made myself clear enough... Please elaborate and tell me your thoughts. Thanks in advance Jan
  2. When I tried to do my first upload (when you create your account and Alamy asks you to upload 3 photos for quality control) my upload was failing so I tried to refresh my page. When this happened the page submitted no photos but blocked me from trying again. When I go to my Alamy Image Manager and try to upload, it says this: Thanks for submitting your stock photos. We're now processing your submission before review by our QC Team. You should have a result within 24 hours but can take longer during busy periods. Submissions can be tracked in your Alamy Image Manager. However, my Alamy Image Manager is empty since my upload failed... I'm not sure if this will make my account fail or get banned, etc.. Thanks in advance for any help!
  3. Heya - I'm Alex, a passionate photographer. I recently uploaded my test submission, but I believe an error occurred, and I want to see if I can take it back. I only uploaded one image for my test submission and the image is already in QC. I believe that the system requires you to upload 3, but my one image automatically was sent to QC, and I can't upload any more images. However, it also isn't the image I want to upload - and I can't upload the other 2 images I need to upload, so I was hoping if I can take the image back and re-upload my images for my test submission. The ID of the image is 2CCJCYR. I completely understand if it isn't possible, but I was hoping for something. :)
  4. Hey everyone, I’m Alex, a new photographer at Alamy. I’ve got a few questions :) 1) How long exactly does it take for my images to be reviewed? I’ve heard a day and 3 weeks, but I just wanted some confirmation. :) 2) Is there a way I can stay signed in? Every time I sign in, after awhile I’m out again... 3) Can I not add a payment method (for now)? I’m willing to add one later, but will my account balance be rest if I add/change one? 4) Will my images go live after I add the tags/title/etc., or does Alamy have to do a quick check? :) 5) How can I create and access my portfolio? I know the URL is something like alamy.com/portfolio/username, but it doesn’t work... Thanks!
  5. Good afternoon! from the moment of registration on Alamy , from June 8, all the photos are in the KK. What does this mean?
  6. I have a three star QC rating with my DSLR. I just bought a Canon EOS 6Mii. The images are boarder line to my eye. Can I send three in to see if they pass or is that going to ruin my QC rating?
  7. Hi! I'm having big problems with the Alamy QC system. I'm an internationally published photographer with 26 years of experience. When I submit my perfectly detailed, sharp, and high-res images, some get rejected, as well as the entire batch! In fact, these are the same image files that I use to make huge prints in sizes up to 40x60. So you can understand my frustration. Thus far, I've found that the Alamy QC system has problems with highly detailed shots of prairies (which is my specialty) and images of flowing water with wonderful motion blur. I can only imagine what it'll do with my fog shots. To make it even more frustrating, the entire batch gets rejected and I can't move forward with keywording the accepted ones. If you have experience with this issue, please let me know how to solve the problem. Thanks so much! Mike
  8. Hello Everyone:) This is a repeat of a question I posted this last Saturday... How many times does one have to submit 3 photos to be approved by Alamy Quality Control? I have the email from Alamy, sent to me on August 22nd approving my 3 photos & welcoming me to Alamy - I took that to mean that I'd passed the test. But maybe not...? I've looked through the site & have not found any info - I will be the first to admit I might have overlooked something though:) Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Elizabeth - aka tinyninjacat
  9. Hi, I am back again with another rejection ! ☹️ Not uploaded for a while. A double whammy this time - noise and out of focus. What do you think ? Taken with rx100, ISO 125, f6.3, 1/250 sec.
  10. Hello everyone. I just recently got started on Alamy and was wondering: do you think my Pentax Q7 has what it takes to meet Alalmy's quality criteria? I have taken plenty of pictures which I believe were great until I tried submitting them and having them rejected with a message that said "Sorry, but this camera doesn't produce images of high enough quality for our requirements". I have seen an amazing photographer whose work I like a lot; his name is Mark Phillips and has the same vibe that I wish I could express with my pictures. Anyways, I thought maybe it was a matter of resolution, which my camera has set in 4000x2248 and 300dpi, but then I checked that his photos are almost all in 3600x2400 and 300dpi so relatively similar. I then thought maybe some of my pictures had blur or were overexposed but I have submitted a photo with a clear sky that is not overexposed and saw that some of his photos emphasize on the blur so I don't know what I need to be looking for. Should I put on more effort on the postediting or is it perhaps the fact that my camera has a 1/1.7" sensor? My Q7 is the only camera I have available so if it is indeed my camera's fault I have no idea what I would do. Hope you can help me, any feedback is endlessly welcomed. Thank you for your attention.
  11. Hi everyone, how u doing (Joey special) Quick question ,,, I think I joined but..... How do confirm if my first 3 images images passed quality control ? cheers
  12. Hi everyone Sorry to ask another question. Do I Need to Submit My Three Vectors by Clicking on the "Upload" button on the top left from Alamy Image Manager? I already uploaded them through FTP FileZilla inside the "Vectors Folder", and was a success. They have a "passed" status on Alamy Image Manager. I went on and clicked on the "Upload" button and submitted one image, should I be concerned? My original three images still show up, so I guess I don't need to worry, but must I still do something, or leave it alone, thank you. Regards, Javier
  13. Hi everyone, I have already successfully transferred and uploaded all my Adobe Illustrator CC 2019 files through FileZilla. Next, Under "Captions and tags for vectors on Alamy" Step 2 instructs "Use Alamy Image Manager in My Alamy (after we’ve processed your submission)". Does this mean that I should wait until Alamy's quality control, or can I immediately proceed to this step? In other words, does Alamy check my vectors right after I upload them through FileZilla, or after I complete step 2? Your help would be much appreciated. Regards, Javier
  14. Hello there. I am new to Alamy and am essentially still finding my footing in the stock photography world. On uploading my images I have come across the terms RM or RF. Which one do you think one should go with and why or under what circumstances.
